Is there any point in buying anyone while Wenger is still here? He constantly plays players out of prosition, he doesn't seem to bring on any young talent and he sticks with the dross.

Be lots of players linked the next couple of weeks as ST renewal time and membership's as well the fabled war chest will be spouted and our manager will only pay what he thinks the player is worth.....

The continuation of low ball bids and not getting the players required for not paying the market rate but instead settling for secondary or lower players and overpaying them wage wise and the squad always carrying deadwood.....

Wilshere and Sanchez linked with City. Both these deals have to be non-starters. Sanchez for obvious reasons. But those wanting Wilshere out are taking a shirt term view. Fuk Ramsey, fuk Barkley, fuk Alli. Wilshere is the best young midfielder in this league. Of course his injuries are horrible, but RVP also had horror injuries and keeping with him was worth it (if only for two seasons).

Not really short-term view mate - he's done nothing of note really for 5 years now because his body just can't stand up to the rigours of professional football.

You will never get maximum value in every player you invest in. Im prepared to wait for Wilshere to come good. Unlike many others, he is worth waiting for. He was brilliant against City - his fit now. Lets use him and see what he can do, rather than sell him to Guardiola (why does Pep want him if hes no good) ? Why sell him after all that time rehabilitating him?

No, there is no point and good players around Europe have realised that over the last year-18 months. They know that joining Arsenal means playing for Wanker and that means not competing for the big prizes, playing with average players and boring, old-fashioned tactics. Wanker may try to control everything at the club but he can't stop players talking to each other at international training or socially. These days, you only join Arsenal if you are 18 or have no ambition left- Cech- or forced into it- Ozil, Sanchez, Welbz.

How long for ? I like wilshere as a player too, but at what stage do we finally see that the guy is a crock that is going to suffer injuries throughout his career ? We kept waiting for diaby's injuries to subside but they never did, and even this season he has missed most of Marseille's games  If the pattern of injuries is likely to continue then I would be happy to accept any bid north of £20m-£25m - yes I know that there is a chance that his injuries will dry up elsewhere but that is irrelevant imo and the only thing we should be asking is if his injuries are likely to persist with us, and if the answer is yes then I would rather not waste another pound on him
The lack of maturity in his private life also needs to be a factor - yes a lot of footballers get into scrapes up and down, but his are for such braindead incidents that you do have to wonder if he has the intelligence to avoid trouble in the future

Wilshere's injuries have been contact injuries not muscle problems, brought on by dribbling passed opponents, but then not releasing the ball but not having the pace to pull away from the defender, thereby allowing the opponent to put a foot in.

I read an interview with Jack where he said that he had seen this criticism during his most recent injury lay-off and had tried to change his play. However, he concluded that he can't and that he will continue to play the same way.

I wonder what'll happen then. Do the same thing and the same thing will happen.

I really wanted Jack to succeed, he loves Arsenal and he's got passion and heart, but he's not played 90 minutes for two years, his off-field activities are those of a teenager not someone with two kids, and if he can't change his play he'll be forever injured.

I'd take 25 million.

Me too! He's 24, not old, but he should be acting better off field than he does and injuries will increase and not heal quickly (not that they seem to anyway) with age. Someone posted why would Pep want him if he isn't any good, I've read that Pep was monitoring Wally...

As Augie has pointed out when is enough enough? This is the 5th season in a row now which has pretty much been a write-off through injury. To be honest I wouldn't even get into the debate of how good he might still be because he's just not going to get over that hurdle in my opinion, cash in.
