THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Tonight he'll go home, pour some Radox bath salts into his avocado bath before settling down to some Findus Crispy Pancakes with Smash, followed by Black Forest Gateaux, convinced that filofaxes are the answer and that this new fangled interweb thing will never catch on.
And tomorrow he'll stick on the spag bol and wash it down with a nice glass of Asti Spumante.
Prawn Cocktail to start with a lovely sherry trifle for dessert
Stick on an Elton cassette and Bosh! Sorted!
surely Wenker is more of an arctic roll and after eight guy ,he probably still has a cassette player in his capri :barscarf:

Go on ARSENE....do your worst
Pullin out all the stops, callin in favours, trying to mooch a semi-final ticket. Just wondering why I bother ffs.
The semi will be fine.....it'll be the final where a poopy pants performance will see us trophy less once more. I reckon even Sheffield United would beat us when the stakes are high

Because teams like Sheffield United have a manager that knows he has fuck all talent in his squad so is more likely to say "Just go out and rattle them",and it being Wenger's spineless Arsenal they'll concede from a corner or set-play,Fat Sam has done it for years,Wenger believes he has a team of Messi's and Ronaldo's and refuses to allow for the other teams strengths, hes out-dated and deluded, and hasn't the bollocks to admit hes finished and fuck off.

I think the Arsenal website makes me more annoyed than Wenger these days

there is actually a paragraph commenting on the title race.
Wenger says "it leaves it in a very bad situation" :banghead: :banghead:

I would have more respect for Wenger and the club if they could just come out and say that we are now out of the title race and concentrating on securing 4th place (which has of course been the goal all along anyway)

Up until today yes. Fucking pissed off tonight, I even put money on us to win today. I never really thought we could win it, we simply cant compete with the sugar daddy's.

no longer confident of winning the FA Cup ..without doubt we are the best team in it but we can fuck this up big time,,,We have no big game mentality....In all our big game failures this season the inability to score against Man Utd is as depressing as the defeats... For as long as Arsene Wenger is manager of Arsenal FC we will continue to fail miserably...

Presumably you're including Liverpool as a sugar daddy club?

Such a dismal statement. We spunked £42M, that's forty-two million pounds on Özil and yet we cannot compete? We most certainly can, it's Wenger who refuses to address the obviously deficient areas of the team for year after year.

One win in the last 14 games against the 'big' clubs is staggeringly pathetic and the most obvious reason as to why we won't win a major trophy again with this dinosaur in charge. It's depressing how some fans have accepted Wenger's continued adjusting of what constitutes success for Arsenal.

Do you really think that's the reason we are stuffed in every big game we play? We had an actual chance to win the league, had we gone out and spent money on a striker in January, but no Wenger decided he had sufficient quality in the form of Giroud, Sanogo, and Bendtner, even an average manager would have the sense to go out and sign better quality. Not to mention the fact that Wenger sticks with his 4-5-1 formation regardless of the opposition. Don't use excuses to justify the fact that Arsenal football club is a money making business, and nothing else.
