McDowell its over dude...no more - Hallelujah

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Perfect back up for Szczesny.
More injury prone than Diaby.Played 16 games in 2 years. You're right perfect for us

And if we were looking for a first choice keeper I would agree with you but for me Gordon is a perfect fit for the club - experienced international who won't come in demanding to be first choice and he was a keeper we were heavily linked with a few years ago before price tag scared wenger off  (nothing new there then   )
Yes augie he's a good keeper but he would never be fit.I would go for McGregor at Rangers.

On a free be worth it though surely. If he stays fit he's a class keeper and will give Szczesny a run for his money.

Gordon was actually the most expensive goalkeeper in British football history (until Man Utd signed De Gea). Can't be bad to have as second choice.

His save against Bolton has just been named as the best save of the last 20 years as well.

he might with Van Persie's foot on his head.

I think this decision is his legacy FWIW . If RVP goes, and we don't bring in M'Vila and Vertonghen, then he really is finished.

My pal from the training ground has spoken... 8)

RVP has demanded new players into the squad if he is to sign a new contract. Wenger has told him that he will give him no reassurances. He runs the Club and no-one else. We have to sell before we can buy. Fringe players are up for sale including Bendtner, Vela, Denilson and Squillaci. Once they go, we can buy. Basically Wenger won't be told what to do by anyone. RVP is peed off and has joined up with Holland. Wenger hasn't learned from last Summer when exactly the same happened. Gazidis is exasperated as he can see the fall out with Season Ticket holders and sponsors etc. It's getting messy already.

If this is true, it wouldn't surprise me.

Wenger is destroying this club single handedly.

Day 5 in the big shiny bowl

Arsene and Ivan are having coffee with Robin. Robin isn't happy. Stan is nowhere to be found.

Yann has left the house and gone back to France. Mario was due to arrive in the house last year but still hasn't arrived. Lukas is all on his own

Which by all accounts broke down after we tried to change the terms on his contract having previously agreed a deal with ajax and the player - given the way our club is run in recent seasons this sounds entirely plausable and we are being run like a 2 bob pub team
