See you back here on deadline day then.

Wonder if he booked his flight and hotel well in advance to ensure he got a top, top quality place or just took a gamble and kept his fingers crossed that he will get a last minute knock down deal :rubchin:
nope someone else paid - its a paid gig, not a holiday.

I can just imagine the look on my works boss' face when i tell him - " thanks for the pay rise, i'm off on holiday for a month to go work for someone else..."

Apparently poor little Vela didn't enjoy his time in London and preferred his time in Sociedad.

Got news for you Carlos, we didn't enjoy your time here either you were average at best with the physical stamina of a jellyfish. Stay in Spain you'll be no great loss.

If we do sign Angel Di Maria(I know, highly unlikely), he is already an Arsenal legend for this comment when told he was being linked with the tiny totts

TBF I think his spurs quote was misquoted. dont think he was dissing spurs, just stating that was the club Madrid tried to flog him to.

You know what I would love? Exchange deal Ozil to Madrid for Di Maria and Morata. Then buy Cesc for 25m. I reckon Madrid would do it.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said that the club will spend big in the transfer market this summer, after the Frenchman signed a new three-year deal at the Emirates.

The Gunners ended their nine-year wait for a major trophy by winning the FA Cup last season, and Wenger wants to build on that success by strengthening the squad and challenging for the title in the next campaign.

He told reporters: "We know we have to have a successful June and July, that's where you strengthen the team. It's very important that we are good now in the next two months until the end of August, that we can give to the team some more quality and go into next season with the belief we got from [the FA Cup] win.

"Should the fans expect a big summer? Yes, they should expect that. What I can promise is that we work very hard in a market that is very, very congested with many people who have a lot of money.

"But we have a big advantage, players want to join us and if we find the right quality I'm sure we can strengthen the team."

Wenger is currently the longest-serving manager in the Premier League, having stayed with Arsenal for 21 years

Arsene Wenger signs up for £100m Arsenal spending spree... with Karim Benzema, Lars Bender and Loic Remy on his radar
• Arsene Wenger will be handed a £100m kitty to spend on transfers
• Frenchman has signed a new three-year contract at the Emirates
• Arsenal need a new right-back, central midfielder and centre-forward
• Lukasz Fabianksi has left to the club for Swansea City
• Karim Benzema, Lars Bender and Loic Remy are on the wanted list

Arsene Wenger admits he is ready to spend heavily this summer to transform Arsenal into genuine title contenders after finally signing his new contract.
Sportsmail revealed on March 19 that the Frenchman had agreed a new three-year deal worth £8million a season.
The club yesterday confirmed one of the worst kept secrets in English football, just 31 days before his contract was due to expire.

Arsenal will hand Wenger a £100million transfer fund this summer who said: ‘We know we have to have a successful June and July, that’s where you strengthen the team,’ said the Gunners boss.
‘It’s very important that we are good now in the next two months until the end of August, that we can give to the team some more quality and go into next season with the belief we got from [the FA Cup] win.
‘Should the fans expect a big summer? Yes, they should expect that.

‘But we have a big advantage, players want to join us and if we find the right quality I’m sure we can strengthen the team.
