On another note it seems that Atletico Madrid have just got £ 40 million for Diego Costa , perhaps they can now afford to underbid us for Lacazette and come out with a profit.
Wtf? How did Atletico get £40m for Diego Costa? He’s been a free agent for months!

Costa's been a free agent with no club for about six months since he left Atleti. He recently signed for Athletico Mineiro in Brazil for no fee obviously, contract is £40k per week.

Can only think he's confused about the 40k wages. I'll not be too critical as I often get easily confused myself.

It shows how low the club have sunk when we can't even attract a forward like Abraham to sign for us, and even worse my disappointment for not being able to sign him because we are not going to attract anyone better than him, and he's better than we already have at the club. We really are in shit street at the moment.
Can we just go and sign players that want to play for the club rather than chase players who need persuading to join. If Aouer wants to sign for us, sign him, if odegaard needs persuading, after spending 5 months at the club don't chase him.
If players want to leave, let them. Nothing worse than having an unhappy player at the club when they've tried leaving.

Willian doesn’t just want to sit on his contract and salary at Arsenal, he has made it clear to the club that he is willing to leave if an offer comes in.

Yeah right, willing to leave but not for a penny less than he’s on now I’m assuming

And an offer from who? He’s 32, declining rapidly and on £200k/wk. No serious club would pay anywhere near that salary (apart from Arsenal of course). China would have been a great option a few years ago but those deals don’t seem to happen anymore.

It’s so annoying. We walked into this stupid deal and unfortunately it’ll cost us £millions to get rid of him now. In fact pretty much all decisions made by Arteta/Edu in the disastrous summer of 2020 has proved poor judgement (signing Willian, Cedric, Runarsson; new contract for Auba; selling Emi; not registering or loaning out Saliba; not registering Ozil even though we had no other no.10)

Bunch of clowns are running this club into the ground.

His family as he is are reportedly Arsenal fans probably advised him not to go as unless they are part of the Clive happy clappy lot they will know the mess that Arsenal are in.

Abraham all set to join Roma for £34m. I guess they did have funds to buy Xhaka… they just thought he was shit and only worth £12m. Fair point.

The only hope I have left is that in the last 7-10 days of the window a few big transfers will take place that cause a domino effect which kick starts a selling spree across a number of clubs.

One has already happened where Inter have trousered 100 million for Lukaku, they’re now in need of a striker and we’ve got 2 sick notes that would fit the bill nicely, any hope they’d come in for one of them?

The crayon muncher will also be off to city before the window closes which means they will go after a striker (Inter again for Martinez or there’s talk of some fucker from Fiorentina) either way there will be some European club selling a striker for serious cash and in need of a replacement, fingers crossed they come knocking for one of our duds.

There’s also a bit of talk about Mbappe to Real, maybe PSG would then come in for Auba? Probably the only club that could pay his ridiculous wages out there anyway.

Hopefully something kick starts it all and we can flush out the shit before the window closes.

I hope that no further deals are done while the two clowns are in charge with the exception of loan deals.

I honestly thought that things would look improved this term, but it looks like the static one will stink the place out and I see minimal points from our first six games.

Martin Ødegaard’s representatives are expected to fly into London today to finalise an agreement to return to Arsenal. Arsenal will sign Ødegaard on another loan & pay his wages in full, but will be given first refusal to sign him for £30m next summer. [Mirror via @MrArsenicTM] https://t.co/We7ctIHZRG

Sheff United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale is considering slapping in a transfer request in a bid to force through a dream move to Arsenal. Ramsdale is desperate for the two clubs to reach an agreement but the proposed transfer is on the brink of collapsing. [Mirror via @MrArsenicTM] https://t.co/rIip6cO0WX
