BOYCOTT THE CLUB IF WE DONT SPEND THE £30M in January

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

We made 5 bids for dm's, it isn't like the club didn't try to get in the players in the position we most need

Then the club didn't bid hard enough. They didn't pay a high enough transfer fee, didn't pay the player enough and failed to impress the other agent.

We're one of the biggest clubs in the world, we play arguably the best football around, we've got a great stadium and great training facilities, and we're in one of the best and most diverse cities in the world - it shouldn't be that difficult to persuade players to come here.

I havent read through all this thread because I know some comments will absolutely infuriate me - the title doesnt exactly make me happy.

Its complete bollox to suggest the club spend £30m or else I boycott them. Thats not the way football fans think like, unless of course you support Chelsea since that clubs formation in 2003.

But on the other hand, I can understand some who are/will be infuriated if we dont get players in to strengthen the squad irrelevant of price. Something is wrong on the pitch - that much is obvious, but I believe this is borne out of problems off the pitch, dare I say it - the effect of not having Dein at the club anymore. We apparently have tried to get X number of players in, all unsuccsesfully. We arent Bolton wanderers, we are Arsenal - one of the most presigous clubs in the world, and not getting players in is absolutely NOT good enough.

Remember 2001 - Adams was playing less and less and we desperately needed a replacement? We got Sol Campbell. Or how about us needing a player to play alongside Vieira, and we got a world cup winner in Gilberto. There are many more names of players - some hugely experienced - that we got in, primarily down to Dein and his negotiations. What we need is a chief exec who is perhaps a little dodgy, but also someone who understands football and a superb negotiator. And someone who is not overpowered with Arsenes inherent stinginess and reluctance to spend.

As we knew before the season started, we need 2 players - a CM and CB. Its not rocket, its not wholesale change. As I said, we are Arsenal, and if we cant do that, I dont hold much hope for the future.

Sorry for the mini rant!

1) Yaya Toure was at a bigger club so not going to happen there

2) Inler owed his club some loyalty and wanted to prove himself as more then a one season wonder in Italy.

3) We failed to pay high enough for Alonso

4) Ditto with Barry.

5) French club refused to sell till next summer.

I'm not so sure. It can be a bit fast paced and hectic in London. Much calmer in Barcelona apparently

Calo this is pointless. No one will boycott the club, and even if we did, our places would be took by hotdog eating corporate *word censored*.

Drop it mate.

One forum will not be enough to make a difference Calo.

Even if you go on every single Arsenal forum on the web, you still wouldn't get enough people to stay away, and none of them would anyway.

10K + would be the minimum needed, and how would you do that? Hypnotise everyone? No one is unloyal enough to do this, so the soner you drop this stupid idea the better.
