Can the impossible really happen to The Spuds?

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

I was with you at the time on that one Augie (taking Eto'o, I mean) 8) He was and remains a world class striker.

By the way, can we let this thread slip because - sad as it may be for us - the spuds going down is just not going to happen!!

Yes, it's a shame, but on a more positive note a guaranteed 6 points next season!

I think I've shocked myself, but let's face it, there's more chance of 'Super Nik' scoring a one on one against a keeper, than we have of the Spuds going down now.

Is it too early to resurrect my fave thread from last season? With no central defenders and potential signings of Crouch and Vieira to come, maybe we're in for a bit of fun again next season!!!

Hope you're right. :D

Shame old Twitchy has pissed on our fireworks, though. He's already said the best they can AIM for is a top six place. And he's being a rose-tinter at that.

My heart is Arsenal so I can’t help Spurs
The Sun

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sp ... R=Football

ANGRY Thierry Henry has denied reports saying he told Patrick Vieira to sign for Tottenham.

Barcelona's ex-Arsenal striker rapped: "I am Arsenal through and through. I'd never advise ANYONE to sign for Tottenham.

"Patrick Vieira is a grown man who will do whatever he has to do for his own career.

"But I have never advised anyone about their future because it's not my business."

He added: "I can't have Arsenal fans thinking I am helping Tottenham in any way.

"The truth is I was talking to Spurs boss Harry Redknapp and he told me he was trying to sign Patrick from Inter Milan.

"I was very surprised because Patrick is like me. He loves Arsenal.

"I just said that Patrick would be a brilliant signing. But I also made it clear I would be shocked if it happened."

More "wheeler-dealering" from poor old East End Harry, the honest boy without 2 ha'pennies to rub together. Just the £9m on Crouch then to fit alongside the £15m for Keane and £15m for Defoe.

Such a shrewd and canny player of the bargain basement market. Oh yes, £14m Palacios as well.

Tosser - hope the twitch gets worse

The latest thing to make me laugh about the spuds

Dinamo Moscow assistant Alexsandr Smirnov says he learned little about Celtic on Sunday because Tony Mowbray played his reserve side in the 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur.
Full story: Daily Record

So that's 2-0 against the Scottish runners-up reserves in your own city. Muggy little club
