Chelsea game
the gulf in ability is now very very apparant. in our fixtures with the top 3 we have failed to keep a clean sheet. the ease in which spartak and usa picked us off all game MUST be clear to wenger and also the late equalisers we've gifted the scum and the victims. im reluctant to say this but i think this club needs serious, large-scale change in order to maintain a consistent and effective challenge and that starts at the top: le boss. i know a fair few of you lot already believe strongly in the need for change, but after todays confirmation of our inferiority, even tinpot might be convinced that things aint as rosey as 2 semi finals and fourth place seem.
in my opinon, wenger's fate hangs on the display against usa. the team mentality is at such a level that these results dont seem to register, and the attitude displayed today and on tuesday was dire. we can lose big style against usa and i wont care providing the team bust a gut to show that they want to play for arsenal. ultimately, motivation and mentality are the responsibility of le boss, results a little less so. its the lack of pride that pisses me right off at the moment, if we'd achieved 4th place by batting our way up and actually earning it rather than being gifted it by some jumped-up brummies i'd be significantly happier being a gooner in spite of such recent scorelines.
i dont mind losing games, getting humilated or scraping draws, as long as when i stand up and sing 'we love you arsenal, we do' i actually feel like i mean it and the team deserve it. its no coincidence that the last time vieira kicked a ball in red and white, we won something.
i fucking hate change

What in the name of jesus fcuking christ does wenger be thinking of by bringing on bedtner to play him on the left wing especially when we are 3 fcuking nil down ?
Dont get me wrong cos I would be the 1st to say that bedtner did well when he came on but at least give him a chance in his proper fcuking position. Have to say that even though I aint his biggest fan rvp battled hard on his own and linked the game up well at times.
Too many fcuking average players playing in a team of bottlers with pub team formations and tactics

There was a chance I know a slim one, but we could have nailed 3rd place, but again we are just not good enough
it aint the youth. its the tourists, corporates, and people who bring their whole family for the fuckin day outbasilbrush14 wrote:The crowd falls like a deck of cards too. Scarfers all too eager to sing when we're winning for all but two minutes but can't roar a team on to salvage a result.
Whats the matter with the youth of today?

Lets get something straight here......when you have a team of fcuking big time charlies who try when it suits them but most of the time dont give a flying fcuk then it is very fcuking difficult to continually try and push them on

That was an awful and shameful result. I can't post anything meaningful right now because I'm sick and tired of caring about the name of The Arsenal a damn sight more than the players, managers and board seem to.
Fucking wankers wearing our shirt and taking our money and giving back fuck all. Twats of a board stewarding a business to grow their shares at the expense of our club and our reputation.
We got CL football this year so that's ok.
We got to two semis by not playing a premiership outfit in the FA cup until Hull at home (offside goal) and then out to Chelsea. In the CL we failed to top our group and then scraped by two easier draws.
People who call the support should realise we are doing what we are allowed to do. That is; we are filling the ground even though we are charged through the nose for the privilege. We are quiet but are told to sit down and shut up when we sing.
Gutted and depressed. Turned over at home by the fucking chavs 4-1. If I say I want a foreign takeover to allow us to compete I am letting the current board get away with it. We could have competed if they had got the balance right but they chose to keep all the money in the business and satisfy their business plan with CL football.

A fucking cheat today for them for sure, but can't hide the fact that we were still outclassed though....The DBs wrote:Well if the Chavs reckon EUFA are against them at least they can be sure our FA aint after seeing Dowd Ref that game. In saying that would it have made any difference if we had a decent ref on the pitch?

Agree mostly with what you say, but to say C.L. qualification is home and hosed next season with us in 4th is folly.Cockerill's chin wrote:That was an awful and shameful result. We will go in an unseeded draw against another 4th qualifying club in the first round..... it won't be a walk in the park, and I also believe it will impact on what transfer funds will be available until qualification to the proper rounds has been secured....
I hope I'm wrong, but I can't help but be cynical....
