As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I think he fancied a one-on-one with the mobile phone while the others were all still arguing on the pitch

Iniesta’s technique for that shot was something else! To let the ball run across him, not get a rush of blood in the circumstances & try to hit the ball too hard but instead pick his spot & cut across the ball with the outside of his foot to put it there! Class! And maybe a few of our lot could do with learning from Messi how to tee a player up for a shot properly! Iniesta barely had to adjust his feet to take the strike.
Honestly I cant see Barca making a bid for Cesc this summer with him & Xavi already there. Not one big enough to tempt even us to accept anyway. And Cesc would be silly in a WC year to go there cos he’d be behind both those 2 keeping Hleb company on the bench. I can however see Barca maybe going for Essien - or perhaps that’s just wishful thinking on my part!
As was pointed out on Talkshite by Ian Wright yesterday, when you watch the equaliser again, Ballack's attempt to block the shot is embarrasing. Happy to chase the ref for 50 yards a minute later but how does that wanker feel watching the goal back? Magnificent!

Exactly, if he had stood up the ball would have struck him in the chest, although in saying that E-W?, I'm glad he did bottle out...

Bet you anything they wouldn`t have said anything about the ref`s performance had Barca not equalised....... plainly and simply a case of bad losers. End of. Fingers crossed they are banned fron Europe next season.
