As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Probably, we have nothing to lose.
It's not the Chav's (okay I know there out) or ManU as we knew these game were never easy.
But we've got the hardiest draw so we can hopefuly just enjoy the moment. Who know's we've pulled off result when in a tightier situation.

Same here. It can be done. We lost to Utd because they know us and half our team just came back from injury or were still injured.
Juve, Real and Milan dint know what hit them, Barca may follow suit.
Look. I would rather watch 2 BRILLIANT games of football, then go through to the semis by beating a crap opponent and lose out there anyways. If we get knocked out, okay no problems we try for the league. If we go through , brilliant, we have a chance to win the CHampions league.
There is going to be some pretty pretty football played in the upcoming days !!
best team in the world
away 2nd is extra tough
also I think it's Spanish half term or something - the flights were v expensive that midweek even before the draw
(away first flights wr 1/2 the price)
Arsene Wenger could not have imagined a worse outcome to the draw for the latter stages.
Even if Arsenal overcome the reigning champions and tournament favourites Barcelona, they then face the prospect of tackling Jose Mourinho’s Inter for a place in the final.
But it is not all doom and gloom down at the Emirates, despite the disadvantage of facing Barca at home in the first-leg. If any team has the attacking game to beat Pep Guardiola’s men, then it is surely Arsenal.
They might not have an answer to the brilliant Lionel Messi, but Arsenal’s game is based on the same slick passing blueprint adopted by the European champions.
Arsenal possess more speed on the break and their dismantling of Porto in the last round will ensure that Barcelona will fear Wenger’s team.
Thierry Henry will relish the chance to face his old club, but if Arsenal can defend properly and Cesc Fabregas hits top form, Wenger’s team can go through.

FFS united get another easy draw I don't think we can beat Barca they will tear us to pieces. It's true we both play pretty football but we're just pretenders in comparison to Barca I just don't want a thrashing.

Having thought about this more I have come to the conclusion that I am very fooking excited
Not looked forward to a match as much since Paris. Barca have turned over Chavski and Manure but they are going to meet a team full of attacking football and confidence. I just don't think we will freeze on this one. I don't know if we will qualify but I think we will go toe to toe. If we are going to go out I'd rather it be after two legs of breathtaking football against Barca than a single goal in the San Siro or Olympic Stadium. A good thing about the draw is that we wont play manure over two legs. Put us in a final over 90 mins against Slur Alex and we can turn them over. That would more than make up for the embarassing defeats of the past.
We need to get somebody on the pitch at the end of the game to give TH an Arsenal shirt to repay the Barca fan crunt from Paris. I know Henry left us for the Spanish slapper but he has only ever loved the Arsenal.
Can you imagine Messi v Silvestre or Iniesta v Song? on second thoughts no. I will be happy if we don't get thrashed and if we dont go through then oh well.
