As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Haven't seen enough of him and no idea how well he'll adapt to PL so not massively excited yet TBH. It's a signing and I pray he comes good so it is a positive move for me.
If only Le Boss would sign an actual goalkeeper and get rid of the 2 gobshites he currently thinks are goalkeepers...

We desperatley needed another striker, and now we have one. I'm happy.
if it gets barca 2-3 years of quality service, 70 odd goals and another la liga title, it's all money well spent.
30 million is nothing these days. the money in football is ridiculous, zlatan ibrahimovich cost barca an estimated £70m FFS
Yes but again you use the word IF. Every signing is a risk. Sure Villa is a recognised name, but so was Ibrahimovic and look how that turned out. For me I can't justify spending 34 million on him.
French video about Chamakh, from Bordeaux to Arsenal.
(sorry in french)
Wenger says : "He almost signed at Liverpool, because they were also interested, but at the last time we've found an agreement to sign him. So I'm very happy."
Chamakh : "I'm glad and even more motivated. It'sd the first time I leave a Club, so it's a strange feeling because I still feel Bordelais (from Bordeaux)."
Wenger at the end of the video : "He's got quality of fighter, he's mobile, he's a good finisher. But when he doesn't score, he's not a deadwood for the team. As our game is based on collective a lot, he will adapt well into the team, and develop."
Chamakh : "My aim is really enjoy on the pitch, experience a new championship. I waited to play there for a long time [in Premier League], to play for a Club that always make me dream. So I hope it's going to work. I can't wait to start the season to see how it is."
