Yes or No?
I didn't see this earlier - apologies for missing it

Uncertain. I think there is no dispute that there is money at the club and a fairly significant amount even beyond what or loan obligations require we withhold from spending.

Having said that I am not confident any new manager would suddenly find significantly more money to spend because of the tightened wage structure.. Remember while our wage bill has grown by 30% since 2004 the fact is that we have fewer players on the list of Europe's Highest Paid Footballers than at that time and that our highest paid players earns about 75% - 81% of what our highest paid player in 2004 did.

And since the competitve wage market has increased to where a player paid 90K a week is only the 47th highest paid footballer, the new wgae structure limits the ability to sign better and more highly valued players ahead of time but doesn't stop the Board insisting more money is available to spend in theory at the very least? Would you acknowledge that much?

So until this matter clears up I'm not sure any new manager would have more money to spend or the actual opportunity to spend it at any rate, bnot the money is not there in the accounts.

:banghead: :banghead: absolutely sums this guy up in 4 words(i know, ironic aint it 8) )
yes or fucking no,he cant do it

actually its quite simple

(sample question) ...yes or no?

NO

What do you mean no? how do you know that?

Explain in 1 paragraph

What what do you mean about the wage structure?

Explain in 1 Paragraph

And how do you know this for sure?

Explain in 1 paragraph

So yes I often say more than I have to. But most of what I say I have to say. I don't get the benefit of the doubt. I have to prove why the answer's yes or no.

Just thought I'd let you in and that nasty little secret shhhhh

USMartin, I was in favour of the petition but I just feel what others have said is more valuable. I will be joining AST because I feel they have the structure in place already.

Its good to see you know your stuff and your passionate about it but I feel your a bit to obsessed with it. I was away for a week or so and when I returned I was finding your threads all over the place even in non related threads. When others disagree its as if you take it really personally.

I didn't really see you post often before all of this board stuff started. Why don't you drop talking about the board so often and get involved in more non board related threads? You seem to come across as a Double Glazing Salesmen and that isn't helping your cause one bit.

I may do so as well. But I will do posting the petition in any event and you're welcome to sign it. No worries either way. :barscarf:

Okay Bren what's a "double-glazing salesman" anyway?

What I take personally is the notion that my credentials as a supporter are to be questioned by anyone for simply not saying what they want to believe. Tell me you wouldn't take it personally if someone said you weren't a supporter because they didn't like your views - seriously.

I also take offence that people would deliberately lie to try and discredit me simply to discredit my views - again tell me that wouldn't offend you. As to not posting often before that might have something to do wuith the fact that I had not signed up on the forum before. I have had similar experiences on other forums where people who don't like your views go out of their way to try and force you to back down or shut up altogether. Where other forum members engage in all manner of personal abuse or invective though they always portray themselves as the victims as though they are forced to read posts or open threads.

I have no problem with anyone disagreeing with my views whatsoever, though I am a tough debater who won't let anyone get away with a cheap argument or using flimsy evidence to support their claims. But while I won't back down in debate if I haven't been proven wrong,my problem is people who have the gall to claim I'm not a supporter simply because they don't like my views. That's it.
