As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Probably because when he was here the media were still in awe of what Wenger had done recently with less resources than Moaninho and they all thought Maoninho was (and still is) an odious little prick.
Who can forget him having a go at St John's Ambulance in Liverpool after there champs league game there.
He demands and gets respect for what he's done but regardless of what Wenger hasn't done in 5 years, he is still very much admired by a lot of european lcub chairmen.
He is a bit like Spurs when it comes to Wenger, it doesn't matter what he does he'll still be too bothered by what AW does.
Sad really
That's cos he's a *word censored*.........i would never want him at Arsenal. He's a winner big deal, fuck him and the horse he rode in on...........

Bet that would be the exact reaction of the Arsenal board as well. Because a little thing like winning doesn't mean anything of course.

Mourinho only works were someone will bank roll him to buy all the best palyers then win get the ego boost and f'off somewhere else.
As much as I would love to win the league and champs league WTF is the point if it means we get an Usmanov.Abramowich or some other Billionaire. there will always be the spectre of the club being built on sand and it will collapse when he goes.
It's not stupid arrogance of thinking we're better than everybody else. The only problem wrong with the club is either we're skint and the boards being tight fisted or AW is being stubborn and not buying properly or all.
Last season Given went to Shitty for the footie equivalent of a song, Barry for £12 million, Chamakh in January would have been £7million. All of that would have led to our 1st title since 2004. All that without spending the ridiculous sums Mourinho spends. We need to marry wise buys with what is a good youthful team(ignore Denilson and Diaby). Not worrying about what some arrogant cock says.
If he is really that good why hasn't he taken over at a team in midtable mediocrity.
He has now won trophies with the richest lub in Italy,in Portugal,in England and once the Glazers bugger off with their crippling debt, he will manage at one of the richest clubs in the world. Amazing that he wins trophies with all the odds stacked against him eh

At Porto he won two European trophies in successive years including the CL as well as taking them back to the top of the Portugese game. That was a remarkable achievement and no one outside the big 3 leagues has won the CL since. He was not spending big on a European scale.
At Chelsea he inherited a good squad and had a lot of money to improve it. He took a club that hadn't won the league for 50 years and gave them the belief that they could do so to the point where they were not only double champions but also just about the most dominant in history. Let's not forget they even beat our Invincibles points tally by 5 points dropping less than 20 all season. Remarkable even if aided by big money.
At Inter he turns a team that can't win in Europe into CL Champions within 2 years. Exactly the job he was asked to do and done with complete ease as well.
People don't like him and they're right not to - he's a total wanker - but he is a bloody fine manager and although he'll never want to manage us if he did we should get him. The closest thing in the modern game to a guaranteed success.

Can't diasgree with any of that
Seriously - good post.
I agree with USMartin - damn good post that, djhdjh
He could teach Wenger a thing or two tactically, his record speaks for himself he is the best manager in the world and I for one miss his post match interviews it sure beats the spin and shit Wenger has been talking for 4 years. Mourinho wouldn't mind being judged in May that's for sure
Lol...Now the crunt is saying how dominant Shitty is in the market and it's difficult to compete with them as they driving up players prices. Maybe he's getting his excuses in early as Madrid don't waste time when they need to replace their coach. Funny he never thought of that(player prices) when he was doing the same thing with Chavski a few seasons ago. Crunt.

As shocked as me that I was was agree withd, uh....., d - whatever his name is - oh its up here - djhdjh
acatually that's not as bad as it looks at a fast glance same letters twice - my bad again
He is a lot better than Wenger in many aspects: player relationships, tactics, scouting opposition, forward planning, judging a player.... need I go on?
I'm sure I didn't dream this but sometime around the World Cup, one of our players who was in South Africa said something like "we don't spend any time studying or talking about the opposition". If I'd have been an Arsenal board member reading that I would have hauled Wenger before me to explain!
It does seem to make sense though considering some of the performances over the last few years. The misplaced corners and free-kicks, giving key players from the other team too much space...
In my opinion I cannot ever think of something that Wenger has done DURING a game to change something - a tactical tweak or an instruction from the sideline. He sticks to his guns (excuse the pun) and we either win or lose. Because of that stubbornness and our lack of quality through the squad - we are therefore guaranteed to lose at least six games a season. Which isn't good enough.
I'd take Mourinho over Wenger all day every day IF I owned Club X from City Y....
As an Arsenal fan though you have to look at what we owe Wenger and summise it would be a big kick in the teeth for him to be replaced by someone who has him nailed...
I rarely disagree with anything Mourinho says - whether I like him or not is a different matter...
Oh and I will have to check this but the money thing is a bit of a myth where Mourinho is concerned:
Porto - relatively rich in terms of their domestic competition but wouldn't even touch the surface of the top 25 clubs in Europe - result Champions League!
Chelsea - I think it was Ranieri that went on the wild spending spree!!! Mourinho came in and strengthened the right areas in the right way... yes he had a big cheque book to do so... but he found the right players with very little waste.
Inter - Inherited the majority of the squad he won those trophies with and turned them into World beaters almost overnight!
We can all hate him but the fact remains he was right in all he said. And the man is a winner and has ambition. Apart from that he is a *word censored*, but a *word censored* that i would love at Arsenal.
