Squillaci is the most physically equipped CB we've got to deal with Dogbreath. He's aggressive and fearless as well so I'm sure Dogbreath won't have it so easy this time round.
Yes, but judging by performances thus far, he is also too slow to handle their pace - that's what I'm worried about!!
This is going to be a crucial game for AA23 to pull his finger out and put in a shift. We simply can't afford him to be lazy and leave Gibbs/Clichy exposed down the left. We need his magic touches but we really need him to sharpen up his passing and track back too.

Every single one of them looks like a complete and utter cuntbag, and it turns my stomach just to look at them. There are no exceptions.
Bring on Sunday - I should probably get an earlier train, though.
Is it easy to get to the ground from West Brompton? Also is there an away pub to possibly meet up for those going?
You can see the top of the Shed End from the platform at West Brompton, so you can walk it in about 15 minutes, or just hop onto the district line tube on the opposite platform to Fulham Broadway.
Not sure about away pub, I think it is all rather diluted due to there being so many boozers around there.
Squillaci is very important sunday, I think he's been an all round better buy then Kos, whose habitt of diving in and missing the ball and then not being able to catch the player is annoying. Would have been great if him and TV were playing, real physical pair against Drogba.
Personally I'ld play Gibbs, Clichy is constantly exposed by Chelsea, its no mistake Drogba always cuts in from the left when he scores against us.
We've just got to turn posession into goals, hopefully Cesc is playing, our attacking options would be greatly improved and i'ld fancy us to score. I'ld personally play Wilshire, he's earnt it, and Rosicky is a little off form and is handy to come off the bench anyway.
Our pace and movement should trouble Chelsea, they're not as strong at the back as they once were

Couldn't agree more. He was abysmal against WBA, losing posession cheaply, providing zero cover for Clichy and looking as if he'd rather be somewhere else. So frustrating because we all know he's quality when he shows some interest!!!!!
Best option for this one 1-1-8 formation, christ even we should be able to keep that p***k dogbreath quiet with that formation.
I don't know why we would go to that game with any thing but a negative formation. It's called damage limitation. Btw, I want Chamakh up front with Wilshere in the hole.
I hate our present team on days like this, 5 years ago before the russian crook(allegedly) those chavs used to wet their pants at the thought of Henry,DB,PV etc, now they giggle at Flappy,Deniiiiiiiil and Eboue.
Seriously think we will get our pants pulled down with Dogbreath's cock up Flappy's behind, both inches of it.
1-1 in the first half as a a MC header gives us hope, then we get carried away in the 2nd half and get picked off quicker than a bogey on a 2 yr old.

Agree completely about Arshavin being a lazy bastard but the way we’re set up to play I don’t think the onus is, or should be, so much on him to provide cover for the full-back. He’s essentially meant to be part of a front 3, not a wide midfielder in a 4-4-2 or a 4-5-1. No question he needs to do more defensive work (doing any would be a start) but more so in terms of closing players down higher up the pitch.
Providing cover for the FBs should be more the responsibility of Song and/or the other more defensive CM (Jack/Diaby/Denilson). If Song stopped buggering off up the pitch all he’d have to do is trundle left or right depending on what flank they were attacking down & hey presto, problem solved. The other CM then drops into Song’s central role in front of the back 4, Cesc/Nasri into the space they’ve vacated & so on & before you know it you’ve got the beginnings of a defensive shape. The FBs being exposed is Song's fault, and Wenger's for not hammering that point into his wasp's fanny of a head.

I dont understand what PR or AW do on the sidelines, we are in the stands and we are all thinking Song get back in position yet no one is shouting that to him from the side of the pitch. Simple discipline would cut out most of the sloppy goals we give away. Comes down to the same thing of no leaders on the pitch.

We also need Song to stay in position.
If only you'd posted that 5 mins earlier you'd have saved me a long-winded post trying to say the exact same thing.
Sadly even with a fully fit team we would still get raped by the chavs. There simply to strong, powerfull and experinced. I just hope its not a goal fest.
Matches like this you need strong defensive midfielders and full backs that can actualy cross. Lets not forget a good keeper.
Though Flappy is now world class , didnt you know?
