England v France

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I was thinking that too.
Neat player.
He's impressive and he's still young. I bet there'll be plenty of rumours linking him with Arsenal in the months/years to come.

[bI think England can do much more than that, in the commitment and determination, and with his best players available.[/b] And in the last minutes they could have come back. But overall France better technically, quicker, and wanted more to win.

Wenger was commenting the game and he was very surprise with the performance of England. It was like watching Liverpool or something
Yeah we'd be much better with turtles like lampard and terry in the side. Not enough paceless, one-dimensional passengers for my liking

I was thinking about a fit Rooney, and I wonder why Young or Johnson didn't start the game.
Rooney would have been zero help against the midfield domination of the first half and i suspect we wouldn't have fared any better in the second half if the game wasnt a friendly and the french hadnt slacked off for the last 30 minutes.

We were outclassed and have been time & time again but we'll continue to blame Capello/formations/not selecting certain players which ultimately distracts everyone from the fact that english football stinks from the grass roots up.

However there is a fcuking funny bit in that game where the Portuguese lady boy throws a tantrum cos Nani stopped what in fairness would have been a fab goal.

Apologies if this is somewhere on here but I haven't seen it.

I think England can do much more than that, in the commitment and determination, and with his best players available. And in the last minutes they could have come back. But overall France better technically, quicker, and wanted more to win.

Lots of stuff over the net.
If he had signed I would have made a thread on it, so whilst it is still speculation I bumped this thread up and there is your rumours thread too.
Youngguns reckon we are in talks but signing not yet agreed.
Other sites (inc Premier League Owl) reckon he has signed.

Time will tell.
