The point I am trying to make is that if, IF, we lose at home to Everton tonight, the perceived reasons for this will be that we did not buy anyone during the transfer window, and the manager is a c**t and the board are all wankers.
When we used to lose a game in the 80s, 90s or 00s, wasn't the reaction more of 'We played shit last night, and I am really disappointed', and that would be that, and then look ahead to the next game?
Instead now there is always a scapegoat, and it's the same old reasons and the forum is in meltdown.
There were plenty points in those decades where there were issues with the board, managers, certain players, money spent etc, but we didn't go around demanding vengeance and calling for heads to roll.
Football is supposed to be fun, and following the Arsenal a mighty craic,
when did everybody get so serious?
I guess when we saw that we had players on loadsa wonga - who really REALLY don't give a shyte, who never give their all and are an embarrassment to the club and shirt (dumnilson, ebouediver, squillacicunt, almunia et al....)
