Andy Carroll

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

i,m in the home end with these mugs on saturday safcftm any advice........except for FTM'S obviously
Well, it helps if you manage to keep quiet when Arsenal bang in the 5th, they might get a bit grumpy at that point and try to stay away from the ones that take off their shirts and/ or wave their shoes in the air. The 5% of the home crowd who don't do that just smell of shit and are a bit more bearable. Oh, and reminding them that Leon Best, Shola Ameobi, Nile Ranger and Peter Lovenkrands is officially the worst array of strikers ever to "grace" the premier league might not be the best of things to do bearing in mind the fact that Carroll's departure will still be fresh in their minds. I can also advise that telling them Mike Ashley has just spent 35 hours in the casino won't go down well either

Aye, if they stuck the mags where they put the away fans maybe their supporters wouldnt be so fucking fat- walking that once a fortnight would keep anyone in shape
Best of luck for the game mate, keep yourself safe and hopefully you'll see a nice win, preferably by a shit load of goals :barscarf:

   there was plenty time for the corner mate, they say a "minimum" of 4 minutes- meaning more than 4, less than 5- ref probably thought about 4 minutes 30 was enough
Anyway, you did get the luckiest goal going that day, so I thought we deserved a point- not that we'd have got one if Rosicky could hit a penalty straight (a few years previously I remember Vieira skying a pen against us as well, at that end too- I think it is cursed!)

 he calls him a fucking judas then at the end says "you fucking..." (long pause whilst he tries to think of another insult to hurl at Carroll, before realising the limits of his vocabulary and just having to mumble "judas" again. They really do enjoy making tits out of themselves at every available opportunity

Could be, although you still have the games to win it- we beat Man City at home and drew with United so they've both lost at least as many points in the corresponding fixture, and we have Chelsea tomorrow who we've already taken 3 points off this season, so it won't come down to results against us one way or the other, but I know what you mean, when you look back on such a late goal it does feel like points that have been needlessly thrown away. It's really the home games v Newcastle and West Brom that stand out for me, beat those two and you'd be top for now- just need to avoid daft defeats at home, and beat the other top sides and the title is very much there for the taking. Realistically you can only afford to drop points in about 3 games, so a lot of consistency will be needed, but its still definitely on. The squad have the ability to go on the run that is required, but alas I would imagine the defensive frailties will see you fall short

Hope you go on and win it like, and if not I hope you win it next year- can't stand seeing clubs just buying the title

Back to Carroll. Yes, he's ridiculously over-priced at £35m but I think he could end up being a good signing for them.

Reminds me very much of Duncan Ferguson and I feel that he can only get better, especially learning his trade under Dalglish - if he stays out of trouble, that is.
