Gervinho....

I'm with Augie.

I haven't watched Gervinho play that much but what I have seen of him is that he is one of those players that "can do a job", thus a decent player and in my opinion not the player we need. Squad player at best.

He is not a winger but a forward and not 6ft but 5ft. I would rather choose Defoe over this guy. We do need a goalscorer of note and Gervinho is not the answer. So, I pray we do not sign him.

What would be the point of Defoe? May aswell play Walcott upfront.

Defoe would be the most pointless signing since Bischoff.

You haven't seen him play that much but you can already judge him???

And btw, if you saw him play, then you would've seen that he's indeed a winger and has played on the right side of a 4-3-3 for Lille during the whole 2010-2011 season...

I'm sorry but some of you must really take the "EPL" Goggles of at some moment. The PL and its players is not the best in the world and I can assure you that Gervinho would piss on Walcott every day of the week!!!

not sure if srs.

But anyway like I said, name the wingers we need to go for these old time wingers who have tons of experience and who have somehow not slowed down in their senior years. I dont think our options are great, sadly.

If Gervinho isn't more productive than Theo and Arshavin, then we're screwed, and in the case of Arshavin, how hard could it be?

I feel that Gervinho could slot right in with Sagna and Song...in terms of hair style at least.

Another cheap foreign mercenary, just what the fans need Arsene. Oh and he will be off to the African Cup of Nations every other season too, perfect.

Not at all excited by this Gervinho signing. Don't think he's what we need & from what I've seen he really looks no better than Billy Bendtner.

He reminds me of Adecuntwhore and for that reason alone I hope he comes nowhere near our club.

Not the most logical train of thought but I can imagine him doing stupid dances on the sideline trying to make out 'he da man'!

My mate seen a bit of him.
Said that he'd suit Arsenal as a proper attacking midfielder and a type of player that we don't have this makes sence.

Most we have are attacking midfielders others are wingers.
With Gervinho he's a player that can wide in the 433 as well as being as playing upfront.

We shall see.

I have done some research and Gervinho does not appear in the top 100 names in Ivory Coast and from now on I will be referring to him by his real name, Gervais.

I also have doubts about his age, he looks about 45

He must have something to his game to get 15 goals and 10 assists in the league last year.

I know the league is weaker but if he is productive on assists aswell as goals then he might be valuable.
