i'm clutching wildly at straws here... but hopefully with the opening month being a hard one, wenger will realise the pressure's gonna be on from the start and try that bit harder to get the players we need, and to keep the ones we don't want to lose.
if we had a couple of promoted teams at home mixed with a few predicted relagation battlers for our first month's games he might be thinking he can get some easy wins under his belt early on to placate the fans and turn the attentions of the press elsewhere, leaving him free to carry on his bullshit project

The man utd game is down for sat 27th on a bank holiday weekend . I am guessing sky will move this to the Sunday at 4pm . Does this sound about right? I am looking at booking a hotel soon . When do sky publish the august tv list?
