I think this is a very good idea if it can be implimented.

I quite like 'The Clock End Bunker' as a name too actually.

I don't quite know how they operate but by starting to get 'like minded fans' applying for tickets.
Hopefully ask the club to allocate the same area each game and with a view to expanding including season ticket allocation into this area.

Rather then let the club sort the seating of this area get the club to point fans into the Groups direction.
This should be something that's addressed as a top priority. Sadly I don't see it happening as it would require Arsenal giving up an element of control. In Europe, the club give tickets for a certain area to the supporters group who then sell them on to the most vocal supporters, so they're getting exactly the kinda people they want in their section.

Getting a supporters group set up should be one of the first, most important issues we address. Strength in numbers. Like minded fans who'll work together & stand together. Sadly, organisation is not a strength of the English mentality.

Yes but we have one already called REDsection in block5/6

Its just not being used to its full potential and has been left to rot

Correct that first and we have 2 blocks of like minded people all putting in more effort. The club can help address this and move on to other areas after that.

This is what annoys we have a ready made supporter group , 2 blocks of fans that stand and (at times can make noise) when they feel like it.

Sorting this will cause a reaction within the ground guaranteed.

We (as a new supporters group) don't have any control over anything RedAction do so it's pointless reiterating the same message on this thread.

Initially, this group will attempt to encourage a better atmosphere all over the stadium and not just in one particular area, albeit, in time, an ambition could well likely be to get a singing section in the lower clock end which would allow banners, flags and a drummer.

For the time being though, setting up different campaigns on different matchdays to encourage better atmosphere in the primary mission. However that may be, who knows, but we'll try our damn hardest to get everyone to contribute to it.

I think Mikey is right here. These 2 blocks need to be sorted out first. On Wednesday for example, songs were getting started, sung one chorus and thats it. What's the point? By the time its sung once the other end of the ground just about pick up what were singing but then everyone has stopped so it just drowns out.

Also, there are too many people in 5/6 that just want to be there so they can say to their mates 'yeah I'm in the lively section' but do nothing to help it be 'lively'.

Point is the club are missing a trick with regards to allowing the so called singing corner become the quiet corner (apart from 30 people)

I appreciate we need to get other parts of the ground going but surely the first point of call is to contact REDaction. Put the ideas to them that you want to start a new supporters group to encourage other parts of the ground, and ask REDaction to play a more active role.

If REDaction do there bit and try to get the club to market the singing corner and give it identity it then makes any task of getting other areas loud much easier???????

REDaction have enough power to put these ideas accross as its in the best intrest of the team and the club as a whole.

I acknowledge all you say, but does a new group really need to contact them to basically tell them to buck up their ideas? Is there really no one there with the same ambition, passion and optimism that this group has?

I guess at some point, should this group become a key player, then talks with redaction would be the norm. At this point though, it's about getting like minded people on-board and supporting the group. Are you joining "The Bunker Brigade" or whatever fecking we come up with Mikey?

Many good points raised and I do agree that it is a very worthwhile cause but I also agree with those that have said that this campaign is doomed to fail :( The simple fact here is that the club either dont care about the atmosphere or dont have a fcuking clue how to do anything about improving it and are afraid to consider any fan suggestions in case it dont suit the gestapo policy

If we start at the beginning then we have to cite the use of that wanker and the public address system inside the stadium as a major contributor ion killing the atmosphere. The fact that playing that loud crappy music and that cringeworthy announcing of the players names prevents any fans of getting chants and songs started. For me the atmosphere should start to generate before the match starts and not after kick off - the opposition team should walk out of the tunnel into a hostile atmosphere and not into some kids disco/party setting   If the club want to improve things then restrict this guy's (mc) role on matchday, encourage fans to arrive earlier and at least turn the floor over to those fans to see if they can generate the atmosphere that they talk about and if the fans fail to do so then on their heads be it.

I have to say that I am not sure I agree with have 2 "singing blocks" on opposite ends of the ground - for starters I dont see the point in diluting whatever group willing to initiate the chanting. I also feel, and this is more important imo, that there would be a problem getting both groups singing in unison simply cos of the distance between them and the time delay in the chanting. I think it would make more sense to expand the group into a larger section and put them behind the goals not in some poxy corner of the ground where your influence would be minimal.

I have to say this but what exactly is redaction achieving ? When other issue's have been discussed on here in the past I have been told that they do not fall under redactions remit as their sole aim has been to improve the atmosphere and I am sorry but for me if that is the case then they have failed :( How much blame can be attached to the group is up for debate cos as I have said already, I dont really believe the club are willing to do much to help but the bottom line is still that they have by and large achieved little in their quest. They might, with some justification I have to say, point to a lack of backing from the broader community of Gooners but I will always come back to the "pro wenger march" as the most divisive thing that they could have done - there are always moments in time that define what a group/person/organisation stand for and that march done that for me and not in a positive way either and I often wonder that if they could have that time back again would they still do that march ? Anyway for the here and now maybe they will concede that it is time to concede defeat in their efforts and maybe pass the baton onto a different group with new energy cos after all we all want a better atmosphere dont we ?

There are many other points that I could talk about but most have already been covered by others. There is no point in me adding my name to the list simply cos I am not over as much so far this season so my ability to assist would be negligble.

Of course mate, you know me at a game I don’t shut the fuck up all game!

I love the ideas of getting more atmosphere going but I really think to start with block5/6 needs addressing first. It’s the most ideal and simple way of targeting the HUGE FUCKING PROBLEM we have at home games.

I would be happy to contact a mate of mine in REDaction to get this pushed forward. If this were to happen it would give us a platform to work on.

You have to admit if block 5/6 were ALL doing there jobs it would make the task of creating atmosphere elsewhere easy!

Best of luck to everyone with this.

A lot of this stuff is easier said than done, as I'm sure you'll soon find out (unfortunately)

Yeah, I read it Martin, erm I mean Mikey.

Not sure if Ben is going tomorrow? I'll be around somewhere, are you meeting the Noise for his pre match drink up?

I'm in Shoreditch for noon, but not sure where I'm going from there.

Not sure yet, but if I do, I'll be wearing a pink carnation and carrying a copy of 'The Times' so you can recognise me.

Small point but needs to be said is that Block 5/6 is one block.
