As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Agreed - I know that people don't work in medicine / emergency services for the praise but IMO all this "pray for" and "thank god" nonsense detracts from the REAL heroes in this and all their efforts in saving Fabrice's life.
All in all I'm just happy for him and his family that he appears to be pulling through. Thank god!

but who gave the doctors etc the gift to save his life? Thats right universit..... i mean god
So glad he is making positive progress, but now I may make myself unpopular, but I do not believe there should be talk of postponing games. The Bolton game with Villa tomorrow is an obvious exception,as it is too soon and too raw for the Bolton players. Apart from that I think other games including Bolton's at the weekend should go ahead (this is made easier by the good news from the hospital).
A few years back I went into work for a night shift. A colleague met me and told me that the man I should be working with that night and who I had worked alongside for eight years had taken his own life. I was devestated and was given 20 minutes to compose myself before going out to face the public. That didn't bother me because that's what I do. There was no sense of "the show going on" or anything like that. I was upset but had to realise that I was getting paid to do my job and it was going to have to be done .
I don't in any way wish to belittle the feelings of the Bolton or Spurs players, supporters or watching public, but the game is professional as are the players.
Now to make myself more unpopular I know the contributors to this forum along with all decent people wish for a positive outcome for Fabrice Muamba, his family and his colleagues. But there ,as in all tragic cases, an element of bandwagonisim. We all wish Fabrice good health and a full recovery. But the need for people to put themselves out there with cliches (thoughts and prayers) on social network sites may in reality outweigh their genuine sympathy.
Sorry if I offend, I genuinely do not intend to.

And how did humankind gain the opposable thumbs to use tools to build the universities? That's right evo... I mean god
Glad to hear the lad is getting better, was very sad to see. Very pleased to learn that he's recognised family and friends and can speak, I'm no doctor but I know that if your brain gets starved of oxygen for seven minutes and you can still understand how to talk and recognise people its an incredible achievement.
The public grief bandwagon can once again be parked up safe in the knowledge that it has done it job, well done to all those that jumped on it,,I don't think Muamba would still be here today if it hadn't been for you.
Muamba wakes up in the hospital and is told that Torres is after scoring 2 goals for chelski -"f**k me" he says, "how many years have I been in here ? "
