Five consecutive Premier League goals that Robin Van Persie hasn't scored...That may put the one-man tem jibe to rest.Good result good results elsewhere. Twice in a week we are saying that. Unusual
Djourou did ok at times, at others he got turned by a runner.
To elaborate he seems to react fairly well to things, can make a recovery tackle, but lacks the anticipation needed for a top class centre back.
I used to have high hopes for Djourou but I now cannot see him being anything other than a third or fourth choice centre back for us.
Theo had space to play in and did very well, lovely goal.
Arteta had a good game, neat and tidy, and what a goal!
Ramsey looked as if he was trying too hard.
He has had a poor season, but I would no way sell him. There is quality in him, he just needs to relax and get some regular football.
Sagna fell asleep for a Villa throw in first half but otherwise had a good game.
One point I did notice actually, Gibbs was caught out of position several times leaving Gervinho to intervene with some last ditch defending. Didn't cost us yesterday thankfully but may do against better teams...

Agree with that.
Gibbs is a work in progress. Will he be another Cole (I mean a great defender, not a complete *word censored* )? I doubt it as he doesn't seem to have the raw qualities.
I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now , as Wenger obviously sees full backs as key to the attack. But on balance, I'd like to see a proper left back signed - a left sided Sagna.
Oh and Gervinho - better defender than attacker. He's the black Walcott.

What did he do that was good?
He held on to the ball too much, tried to over elaborate and looked a disaster waiting to happen, don't think he played well at all.
Ramsey came on and took the pace out of our play in a negative way while Gibbs got caught out of position a fair bit, other than that we played really well, Arteta had a really good game for me.

"Ave yow won the European Cup?"
I checked the countdown clock and it had 42:32 on it during the first half when we got the first chorus, so they excelled themselves - 2 and a half minutes !
What a sorry bunch of little club wankers they are - right up there with Birmingham, Wolves and Stoke. Must be something about the misery of living in the Midlands
Glad we gave 'em a good stuffing. If it was a boxing match it would have been abandoned after half an hour
One thought I had after the game was " How sh1t is Shay Given" ,he had an almost Almunia afternoon between the sticks.
And there were more than a few on here who felt we had to sign him,i'm pretty glad we didn't !
not as good as he used to be but remember this is the same keeper who for the last 10 years has never had a bad game against us,which is why many on here wanted to sign him.
