London 2012 OLYMPICS

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Gráinne Murphy's dad runs the pub where I normally go with the Wexford cousins for a meal. She trains in Cork tho so is rarely at home. Will be mental if she does well.

Also in a typically Irish way I am vaguely related to Adam Nolan, (25th cousin, twice removed).

My twin boys, Charlie and George are celebrating their 13th birthday today, luckily for them they and their younger sister are at the opening ceremony tonight. Should certainly be a birthday to remember. I just wish my wife and I could have secured tickets to go with them.

I've been watching the opening ceremony.

Two questions.....

1. Why was it scheduled to finish so late? Anyone relying on public transport can't get home. Any athletes competing tomorrow can't attend.

2. Who the fuck designed the Team UK kit? Fucking gold collars and gold arm pits. Is it some kind of retro combo involving Elvis and Primark?
