Canaries V (what proved to be) the Arsenal light-weights

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

SteveO is spot on about Per needing to man up. For a bloke of his size, he doesn't half shirk aerial challenges.

do his standard set-up/team talk (4-3-3, go out and have fun)
make pre-set subs (fresh wide forward/midfield legs on 70th min)
and we should win, easily. Norwich are dire.

If this gets fucked up IMO you blame the players not Wenger

I'll wait till our FA Cup KO where Wenger does the above
or CL 1/4 final KO (#1 player in each position) with same ideas
before I go after the manager

we have a (very) well paid squad of international footballers, no every Prem team doesn't - Norwich boys been in training all week. We should be able to go out and beat this lot irrespective.
I think you have just typified the modern day clueless, wenger's arsenal fan. The arrogance and ignorance of your post make you look like an idiot.

and talking of idiots ;-)
(lets hope I post this once)

I stand by my dismissal of Norwich - theres no excuse for not winning this game if our first team and staff die in plane crashes - the B team that lost to Chelski should easily beat Norwich
I think these Canaries are true shite, one of the worst top division teams ever
and Hughton makes them less than the sum of their piss poor parts
seriously I'm bracketing them with Swindon, Derby and Mcarthy's Mackems - that bad

and I'm hurt by your 'new' accusation - I was just as presumptuous, dismissive of poor opposition and clueless as this throughout 80s, 90s and noughties

I'm glad that everyone is so highly confident that we're going to steamroller Norwich. With comedy Mannone in goal and fat boy Santos replacing Gibbs, I'm not so sure that we'll be stable defensively, and Mertesacker needs to show his Stoke away form of this year rather than a repeat of his nightmare at Carrow Rd last season.

One thing's for sure - Norwich are absolutely bloody awful at the back and we should be scoring at least a couple in this game (however it is usually after international breaks where we get to hear about that 'lack of efficiency in the final third.....little bit jaded physically' etc)

I'm going for the win, but 2-1 rather than the hammering being widely predicted

What are the odds of "handbrake" cropping up in AW's post-match press conference?
