I dont see how the lad being 17 and not 14 makes one bit of difference.
Hazard should not be touching him whatever age he is ffs.

The fact hes a millionaire pro footballer should not stop him getting frustrated but should stop him from kicking ballboys.

Edit. And it looked like assault to me. Try doing that to someone other than a football pitch and see what happenr

What do you mean try doing that other than on a football pitch? That's one of the stupidest arguments out there. If you shoulder barged somebody over on the street then that'd be illegal but not on a football pitch, it happened on a football pitch so what does it matter whether or not it would be off it?

I thought last night that he just plain kicked him too, but after seeing a better angle this morning he actually prods the ball out from under the little prick whilst obviously catching him with his shin. Stupid thing to do but never going to break a rib or cause serious bruising.

And the difference is at 17 you're undoubtedly old enough for a slap if you're taking the piss. And he was taking the piss. He wasn't just being slow, he was actually lying on the ball for fucks sake, and as said he was doing shit like that earlier in the game.

I agree that Hazard needs to be punished despite 100% understanding his actions but he's got a 3-game ban for a silly offence where nobody got hurt, that's punishment enough. I'm more worried about offences getting the same ban where somebody could be seriously injured.

Of course. I doubt anyone is suggesting Hazard didn't do the wrong thing. He deserved to be sent-off and will quite rightly receive a ban, but I think the whole incident was a bit petty really.

As for the age thing - I think it's natural to be more outraged when it involves a youngster or a girl. It's the way we're wired, I suppose. So yeah, I'd say there's a huge difference between 14 and 17.

When a 17 year old acts like a dick, I find myself almost wanting them to get a good slap. Hazard got sucked in and absolutely did the wrong thing, but in truth, if a 17 year old dickhead wouldn't give me the ball back when my team was losing a cup semi-final with 10 mins left, I think I'd find it difficult not to give the prat a dig with my boot as well.

So yeah, it was unprofessional but I can empathise, so I'd be hypocritical to be outraged.

What would be the equivalent scenario though? :? - a man buys a frozen turkey on Christmas eve from ASDA, and as he leaves the store he slips on a patch of ice; the turkey flies through the air, landing 10 yards away on the tarmac of the car park. The man picks himself up and walks over to retrieve the turkey, but before he gets there, a young ASDA employee gets to the turkey first... but wait, what's this? :o instead of picking the turkey up and giving the turkey to the man, unbelievably the employee has sat on the thing like a mother hen protecting her eggs! The man is obviously a little perplexed at the bizarre situation he's found himself in. After several attempts at manoeuvering the turkey from underneath the employees arse, he comes to the conclusion that he's got to take drastic action, and just like dealing with a broody hen, he gives it a quick sharp kick on the wing. Within an instant, there's clucking and feathered wings are flapping everywhere, but job done - the employee has stood up and walked away; stopping momentarily to shit on the tarmac. Bruised ego, but no damage.

I dunno armchair, I doubt the police would press charges :rubchin:

ouuuuuuu low blow.....

on topic though, i dont see what the fuss is about. he toe pokes the ball out from under the little time wasting shit and the guy pulls a gareth bale and plays it up. give him his red card for behaving like the child he took the ball from and move on. i was fully expecting to see chuck norris roundhouse kicks, i was a little let down.

Except that's not quite the way it happened though is it. His toe was about 5 inches off the ground and hit the "boy/kid/man" square in the back. He was just offloading some of his frustration on the ballboy, and whether it was aggravated or not, Hazard should definitely be punished for it....

As somewhat of a dirty fucker myself, I'd say that Hazard was giving the impression that he was going for the ball (which he did kick), but knew full well that if he did it with enough force, he could have a sly dig at the guy at the same time, and mask it by claiming he was going for the ball. He knew exactly what he was doing.

BREAKING NEWS:
The ball boyo had actually mistaken the ball for a lamb.

Who really cares. The Chavs are out of the cup. The taffies have a big day out in London for the game. And good luck to Bradford.

DB10Gooner - Just about big enough to hold the ball, crowd gives him huge applause for being such a gallant sport.

Flash - Sits in the corner, too lazy to fetch the ball, sacked at half time. Complaisn that he is unable to do the job "using a remote control, why wasn't I told that before hand?"

Basil - Sacked at half time for taking photos whilst on duty.

GoonerSid - Five minutes into the game gets into a furious row with someone in the crowd and smacks him, sacked.

Augie - Similar, but somehow manages to refain from punching, keeps job.

BarrieCuda - Attentive, but strangely delayed in everything he does by five hours. Finally leaves the ground at 3AM.

Herd - Turns up with 60 mates all ready for a ruck. Club prevent him from taking his place at the kick off.

HighburyJD - Feints at the kick off from being so close to Wenger. Taken to hospital and an envelope marked "Arsene - S.W.A.L.K." is found in his coat pocket.

HasKads - So busy salivating over the players' thighs that he forgets his job, sacked at half time.

G88ner - Diligent in his duties, performs superbly, but it sadly all goes wrong in the 89th minute when his pet ferret escapes, runs onto the pitch, and punctures the ball. Sacked.

Reg Niseth - Turns up early, but is nowhere to be found at the kick off. Reports of him seen walking round Highbury with a Black Scarf are not confirmed.

Olgit - Initially applauded by the crowd for using a zimmer frame to get to the ball, but sacked at half time on health and safety grounds.

IU4GN - Sacked prior to kick off for attempting to chat up a ball girl with a foul mouthed poem.

BrazilianGooner - Told to sit in the stands. His failure to fit into either category of ballboy or ballgirl prevents him from being assigned a place.

What a pathetic episode all round. The conduct of the ball boy was ridiculous and Chelsea have every right to be angered by it. Hazard barely touches the little chubster either

2 days of it being all over the sports pages. Boring.

Bizarre
Think about you are all backing a Chelsea player yes fucking Chelsea for kicking a very very young 17 year old in the ribs. Now I know we have all been annoyed when teams have time wasted against us but there is a level you dont cross and to me it shows arrogance from Hazard. IM A BIG MONEY SUPER STAR AND GIVE ME THAT BALL YOU LITTLE NO BODY KID. TAKE THAT FOR YOUR FAILURE TO RUN FASTER.
As for the Kronke commet there are too many stupid Arsenal fans on here who dont see the problem in front of them and winge about this and that without actually knowing what is needed. Also that goes out to all the fans that dissed Dein when he left and backed Kronke ahead of Usmanov.
You now have a team going nowhere, well done for sticking up for Chelsea mind you.

Can you have a very very young 17 year old or is he just 17 year old? The fact you have put in a few verys suggests you yourself feel you are on dodgy ground.

Kroenke...Dein...Usmanov separate thread mate. No relevance

Supporting Chelsea??? Bizarre again

I find objectivity difficult with Arsenal but if you can't be objective on a freak incident between Chelsea and Swansea and find those that can be objective offensive...
