Munich at home

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

we'll be up against. Not the fastest so I imagine our pacey midfield should be able to craft a few chances on the counter. I just can't see us containing Ribery/Robben/Shaqiri/Muller however.

Like I said before,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,doom goon. LOL

BM have a donkey in defence, Van Buyten. Apparently, he's even slower then Mertesacker...

I'm sure Lord Wenger's in depth pre-match research on our opponents will have highlighted this in detail & he will have developed a genius plan to exploit this weakness 8)

I shall be up @ 0400 hrs and will be screaming at the computer stream for all I'm worth (2 bob).
Missus Herd has been dispatched to the spare room complete with earplugs for the night .
If anyone can honestly want us to lose then it's time they packed up supporting Arsenal and take up something less stressful.
I dont like the manager the players the board or the stadium but people wishing us to lose ,so that they can sound off on an internet site about how right they are is plain fucking wrong .
The very vast majority other teams supporters would sacrifice a digit to get to a tie like this ! ! !
Lest we forget these are currants FFS ,
I dont care if their one of the best teams in Europe right now, they dont like it up em Mr Mannering !

We are where we are and our season depends on it ,Save the vitriol for later ,get behind the team or give it up altogether and spend time doing something more productive !

Come on you rip roaring red machine !

Hi,
Kicker has the following squad selection:

Arsenal:
Szczesny - Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Vermaelen - Wilshere, Arteta - Walcott, Santi Cazorla, Podolski - Giroud
Bayern:
Neuer - Lahm, van Buyten, Dante, Alaba - Javi Martinez, Schweinsteiger - T. Müller, Kroos, Ribery - Mandzukic

It will be a 3:1 to Arsenal:
Podolski
Podolski
Walcott

Good luck for the game!

Cheers,
Thomas

I'm up for the game. Not confident but, who knows, maybe Bayern will be complacent....

I can understand why some would want us to do badly. A defeat tonight might delay the signing of a contract extension. A heavy defeat over the two legs might even hasten Wengers departure.

But you don't play Bayern (the best team in Europe?) every week, so personally, I want us to do well....for Arsenal, for gooners everywhere, albeit not necessarily for Wenger.

Last chance of a trophy of course, and if Liverpool, Porto and the Chelsea of last season can win it then of course we can do as well.... Keep the faith  !!

Well said Rakim!!

I too can't understand this mentality of wanting us to lose. I never want us to lose any fucking game. And in all honesty if you think us losing a few games will see Sith Lord Venger out the door any sooner you are deluded. Venger has so much control over Modern Arsenal that only one man will decide when his time is up, and that man is Venger. If our spineless money-grubbing Board were to judge him on footballing failure he'd have been long gone.

Anybollocks - COME ON YOU GUNNERS!!

I am basing my theory on all the big games we play in. Taking everything in to consideration we will get hammered.
