Well put Quartz - 100% agree. Lord Wenger will definitely see out this contract, and courtesy of earning Kroenke £10m in transfer profit this Summer and guaranteed him another £25m from the CL Group, will almost certainly be here for longer anyway. Anyone kidding themselves that a stuffing at home by this lot will lead to Wenger's dismissal are doing what they've done 100 times before when we've faced a 'big game' against one of our rivals. Chelsea routinely stuff us, our recent record at the Lane is crap, we've lost 8-2 at OT, chucked away 4 goal leads, been the first team in the CL not to register a single shot in a match, lost cups to shit clubs.......none of these make a difference. A 0-5 reverse to the Spuds will not make a difference. Wenger has achieved his immediate goal of making money for Kroenke. He is umbombable whilst he is the owner, until the day the tickets don't sell and we don't play in the CLQuartzGooner wrote:Sid?
Lose to Spurs?
Diehard AKBs will love Wenger even if he is caught stealing cash from the club shop whilst wearing a Chelsea shirt and a Man Utd hat singing "I'm forever blowing bubbles".
He has become a cult.
The board will not get rid of him this season, not whilst he still has a contract.
Wenger is 50% of it, Kroenke is the other 50%.
We need them both out, but no way can that include a loss to Spurs.
Those of us who live in North West and North London have to put up with Spurs fans on an almost daily basis. I do not hate all Spurs fans, they have some who can put things in perspective,, but they have a fringe who are ignorant, small minded and dull, and I am not prepared to lose to them to have to endure their pond life myopic insults.
There will be no 'turning point' in a one off PL league match......so go back to basics i.e. hating them and wanting us to destroy them so we can laugh at their tear sodden faces once again
