Napoli at home

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Rosicky is seriously off the pace - understandable I know cos he is just returning from (another) injury but he is losing way too much possession

rolling the years back with this performance.

This is back to the days when home CL games involved dominance, unlike the last few years where it was a struggle.

Agreed - I haven't enjoyed 45 minutes of watching Arsenal as much for a long long time

A few Rosicky passes apart that was practically faultless

Great to see us playing at that tempo too - back to how we used to play before we employed the Nasri, Hleb, Arshavin type of strollers

Rosicky, Arteta and (to a lesser extent) Flamini have a looked a bit off the pace to me, which considering this is one of the best halves of football we've produced in some time that says something about how good Ramsey, Ozil and Giroud have been.

Just hope Aaron isn't injured

Completely agree, a few minor niggles aside I think we've been masterful at times and have made a very good Napoli side look completely ordinary.

Özil's goal was pure class.

Keep it up! :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

i couldnt control the smile on my face the first 15 mins. played the best we've played in 6 years since the fabregas/rosicky/hleb days.

came down to earth a little after that but we still looked dangerous and solid at the back. hopefully ramsey's issue isnt serious. sub jack on. play the 2nd half with the same intensity. i dont want to see the team start playing lazy, feeling comfortable.

I've not been this happy as a Gooner since 2008.

Slightly iffy sound on my stream but did I hear "we're the *insert stand name* ....." mid way through?

Me neither - the problem for me is that Wenger crushed that hope back then by allowing that team to fall apart which to my mind was his greatest sin as manager. I just fucking hope to God there's no repeat 5 years later
