We've all been whining like freshly slapped bitches about squad depth for years now, and the minute we actually get one or two positions sorted with a bit of depth, fuckers are on here stating we should now get rid of players because we have too many in the one position! You couldn't make it up.

But for a man who has complained frequently in recent years about the woeful financial mis-management re the wage bill, surely you can recognise the folly of paying out wages to 4 guys that play the no.10 role whilst at the same time have no proper DM, no 2nd choice keeper and only 3 centre backs on the books ?? Le cock needs to build a quality team first and then build a squad with good back ups but there is no point in having a lop sided squad which is what we currently have Of course if le c*nt hadnt of given another new contract to rosicky then this discussion wouldnt be needed

Oh totally agree. But my criticism is about paying huge wages to shit players. I have no problem with paying huge wages to top quality players - that's the nature of the beast in the modern game. If the money is there, spend it. But spend it right. I've also been critical of the folly of buying loads of attacking midfielders but not buying a top keeper, CH, DM, striker and RB etc. I'm not saying let's just accumulate players for the sake of it. I'm saying we have (for example) now got a couple of quality passing technically excellent players in Ozil and Cazorla that can offer that bit of guile and magic. Sure, neither are going to run box to box for 90 minutes and bust in ball winning tackles, but (apart from a couple idiots on here) we all know they are not that type of player.

Ideally we should look to have 2 quality players in each position. Or at very least, one top quality and one solid cover. If we can spend millions retaining rubbish like Bendtner, etc etc etc for years then why not now spend money retaining decent players? This has been the issue for a decade now. We retain and over pay poor quality players and time wasters.

Wenger needs to be more clinical and pragmatic. Release those that don't deliver anything (Diaby) and those that are now past their best (Rosicky and sadly Arteta who for 2 seasons was our best player by a country mile).

Have to say that I now agree with this proposition. Did you see how fat - and disinterested - he looked at the weekend? Really think that with the signings of Ozil, Sanchez and Campbell, and the return from injury of Theo and the Ox, that Cazorla may be one luxury player we can now do without.
