FA CUP 3RD ROUND THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I've watched Dawson all season and he's truly Sh1t! How he's their captain is beyond me, he's slow, clumsy and not even intelligent as a centre back! Walcotts pace will scare the life out of him.
Agreed. Dawson is fucking awful and Wally could piss all over him. Given that Giroud and Bendy are out what's the other option? Podolski who has proved half a dozen times he can't play here or fucking SQ Park....truly one of the biggest jokers ever to sign for the club

We're going to struggle for goals today if we're playing one up front. Neither Walcott or Podolski can play as lone strikers.

Gnabry to start? I actually think that's the kind of wildcard that could pay off.

As long as he isn't overawed by the big occasion and does his bit to help out defensively when needed too.

If he and Wally are up top then we have some pace to be utilised in a defence splitting pass - Santi / Jack assuming Ozil is out.

Not so bad, take out Flappy and it's something in the middle, not the worst team and not the best.

Extremely unbalanced team. If Tot*enham show up today this could be bad...

That would be my first reaction too - to me we look a lightweight team all over the pitch (with exception of sagna) and if this game gets physical, which a derby usually does, then we could be in trouble. A strict ref might be key for us today

Vermaelen starting is always a worry. Him and Flappy could be back to the good old comedy defending mix ups and charges into no mans land.
