Re: Palace
Fairly strong squad with a lot of pace and attack, can't be disappointed with that

Re: Palace
I think a lot of people go along with that perceievd wisdom, time will indeed tell.
A lot, and I count myself as one, fear for the future when AW goes, because its so hard to see who the board would appoint- we all would like someone like Klopp, but we could end up with someone like Moyes
Im really not sure though that the perceived wisdom of not attracting players unless we are in the CL is necessarily correct- Ozil wanted first team football above all surely. It not just who the club will get beaten by but what the club has to offer, London itsself is a pretty good attraction for players, as well as the history etc we have.
The point about the extra money the CL brings is well put by Northbank123

Re: Palace
This will be dire and we'll scrape it 2-1 or at a stretch 2-0. Chamakh and Pod to score.

Re: Palace
Ox in for flam - brave brave move.
Wenger Hopi g to out score them today.
And as Nothbank said, how has qualifying for the CL and having a new stadium helped the fans ? - we still pay the highest prices in football. Only Wenger has benefited - getting a whopping salary without winning anything.

Re: Palace
the 'cant compete with city' is nonsense to a certain point, the money we have at our disposal would allow us a squad to resemble chavskis with strength and depth.we could build a team strong enough to beat all the minnows, admittedly this season we have but we should also be beating utd and chavski this season too, throw in that we only have to play city twice and this means we should compete with them.they can score 100 goals per game if they like,we need only 1 goal to win a game, its still 3 points,we don't play city every week,in that respect over the season we should be competing with them, its Wenkers stupidity and stubbornness that's costing us,imagine if we had Pep in charge,we would dominate regardless of citys wealth, wake up topcattopcat wrote:What are you expecting though? Still in the FA cup, champions league and 1point behind the amazing man city...try and be realistic, we cant ask for more than that.

Re: Palace
I'll take a scrappy one nil anyday.

Re: Palace
Hell of a ball from ozil to monreal

Re: Palace
Ozil could be the key today. Slipping balls in behind to the Ox and Podolski. Need to get down the flanks as well, as they have packed out the middle.
Re: Palace
Chamakh went by kos like he wasn't even there

Re: Palace
This has 1-0 written all over it......
