As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
I'm glad Gerrard doesn't give more interviews because he's such a massive prick. He knows that he's pretty much finished but after the press attention the second half of last season he's desperate to drag out this swansong.
It was a good move for Suarez to stay there but Gerrard seems to imply that his words has great impact and persuaded Suarez to stay - the bloke basically went on strike he was so desperate to join us. Also suggests that he's been hounded by Real Madrid and Barcelona his entire career. I wish the prick had joined Chelsea.
Iago Aspas has urged Sevilla starlet Alberto Moreno to remain in Spain, suggesting life on Merseyside won't suit the young full back.
Aspas, 26, has joined the Andalusian club on a season long loan deal after a disappointing first season at Anfield following his £7m arrival from Celta Vigo last summer.
Moreno meanwhile appeared set to move in the other direction as Liverpool sought to make the Spaniard the long-term solution to their problems at left back.
Brendan Rodgers' side were understood to have agreed a fee of €22m for the 22-year-old but the deal stalled following Sevilla's demand to receive the entire transfer fee up front.
Following Ryan Bertrand's move to Southampton, Liverpool have seen one of their possible targets disappear off the market, a situation that could see them reignite their interest in Moreno.
But Aspas, who started just six games during his miserable first season at the club, believes the youngster would be better suited remaining in Seville.
"I have not spoken with Alberto about Liverpool," Aspas told the Seville edition of Spanish publication ABC. "Yes, it is true that the teammates make some jokes about the topic. But if it's a question of life, I would say that in Sevilla it is better than there (in Liverpool), that's for sure.
"And I've just been in Sevilla for three or four days. Now I belong to Sevilla, I prefer him to stay here."
Moreno, who was included in Spain's preliminary World Cup squad before failing to make the cut, appeared set to become Liverpool's first signing of the summer last month.
Reports in the Spanish press suggested the clubs initially agreed a fee of €20m plus €2m in future add ons. However, negotiations fell apart after Sevilla rejected Liverpool's offer to pay that €20m fee in several instalments over the next few years.
Another one of Brenda's great buys sticks the boot in.
I know it's old but I only just had the link sent to me,
Steven Gerrard took part in Twitter Q&A to celebrate his 600th game for Liverpool. Unfortunately, some didn't take the event as seriously as he no doubt wanted.
Here are of some of the questions that were put to him:
- If Ryan Giggs' wife divorced him and took half of everything, how would you feel about her having six more Premier League medals than you?
- Who did/do you prefer playing with - Mascherano, Alonso and Torres or Shelvey, Spearing and Henderson?
- If Buzz Lightyear doesn't think he's a toy, why does he stop moving when humans are around?
- I'm just going to turn off this irritating Phil Collins song. Do you mind?
- Who would win a foot race - Jamie Carragher or the erosion of the UK coastline?

Liverpool have the greater historic name due to past European successes (although Arsenal is hardly lacking in historic success and tradition). But that's worth little these days compared to the money and guarantee of success offered at Madrid/Barca. Too good for Arsenal? Maybe, but he was considering it wasn't he despite being unhappy in England. Whereas he simply he couldn't wait to get the fuck out of Liverpool! Must be galling to hear that your star player views Arsenal as a bigger club with a better team.
WTF- Similar quality stadiums ?
I know the Grove has its critics but its miles better than Anfield surely? Any potential signing seeing the Grove/ Colney would be far more impressed surely.
"You're never too good for Arsenal and Steven Gerrard knows that," Wenger says. "But I can understand completely that he asked him to stay because he wanted him (Suarez) to play with him and have a chance to win the Premier League. But it didn't happen, and anyway, Suarez left."

Absolutely perfect response. Nothing deals with loudmouths like Gerrard or Ferguson just like a quiet, acerbic put-down like this or the "everybody has the prettiest wife" barb. Slams the book shut whilst making them look fucking stupid.
Apart from success. That's quite good for shutting them up too.

Probably will be a slight on their great club and disrespectful to Hillsborough.

Brilliant from Wenger. Starting to like him again these days tbh.
