Home game against Palace - Season Opener 2014 - 2015

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I was predicting a Giroud hat-trick, but now Pulis is gone I expect at least 10 goals from each player.

Funny coincidence, last season they were managerless when we played them though that may have been away- that too was perfect timing as Pubis was rumoured to be about to join them.

I doubt it will happen again next season, dont think we will be playing them for a few seasons :(

I was expecting a narrow win, now it could be a cricket score. Rudderless palace will be there for the taking.

My fear is that with no Pulis for the Gooner faithful to make fun of tomorrow, I will instead have to endure 90 mins of "Stand up if you hate Tottnum" and a few Mexican waves as we go 6-0 up

Alternative scenario is a frustrating and tense 0-0 until the 94th minute when Kos gets one in from a corner following an hour and a half of numerous trips, misses and stumbles in front of the goal from our youthful French postie. On the positive side, Giroud's hair will be looking immaculate for the start of the season.

Oh I hope the faithful make fun of Pulis whether hes there or not. :barscarf: :barscarf:

Meanwhile I expect the Palace fans to be "entertaining" with their choreographed droning and drums for the whole 95 minutes :| :|

One has to laugh. What could have been a tricky opener is sure an easy three points now?

For all the credit Pubis got at Stoke it needs mentioning that he spent a fucking fortune to serve shit-on-a-stick. Probably asked the chairman for £15m to sign Mark Walters.

Anyone expecting a huge scoreline will be disappointed.
