MAN CITY THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Let's just get Wenger's pre-match nonsense up in writing for when this:

"The history will not play a big part in this game. It’s the performance of the day that will play the biggest part and the only important part."

becomes this:

"Look uuur I feel that last season played a bit little bit maybe on the players minds psychologically you could see they were little bit afraid after last season..."

Won't be an absolute bumholing on the scale f last year but will be a limp and deserved defeat.

i think there'll be a quote about "not showing our super quality" and "players coming back from injury" . we might get a bonus quote of " two clean sheets in the last two games"....

i still think 3-1 or 4-1.

I think we will lose however I am lot more optimistic about this fixture than I am when we go to Old Trafford or Stamford Bridge for example. Ciy will let us play and have conceded 2 goals against both Sunderland and Burnley at home recently so there is hope that Alexis can exploit their weaknesses at the back. They're not normally as strong without Yaya as well so as long as we can cope with Aguero, who will be playing his first full game after a month out, then we could get at least a draw. Inevitably Wenger will set us up to get caught on the counter and we'll probably be a few goals down before we even get going.

Sadly I approach all these games, away to a "big" team in the the same way.....we are going to get the footballing equivalent of a prostate exam... You know what to expect, you're not looking forward to it and you hope it doesn't hurt to much.

I am a grade A+ Mug and its my own fault but in fairness I can't help it .
Despite the fact we are shit defensively and all our other glaring faults which make this match a solid home banker ,
I'm sitting here looking out the window counting down the hours to the match like an expectant father .
This club won't let me go,I'm a prisoner and I'm getting excited and thinking : If we get an early goal ,if we play as a unit if if if if if if and this will drag me down the pub at midnight because as much as I try this Club has me hooked and has done since I was a child kicking balls at the East Stand walls .
I shouldn't fight it just accept that Im Arsenal ,always have been and always will and fuck me It will never change.
