Like I said on a previous post I am A rose tinter but I consider myself to have a better grasp of reality we lose so many headers in the centre of defence Silvestre is not reknown for being a great header of the ball and I'm pretty sure he aint that tall either, I hope he proves me wrong but I cant see it!

I'm delighted we have signed him. In fact, I'm delighted we have signed anyone.

Jaysus. Awkward one this. I call him the mid-op transsexual. The few manure fans I know will love it! Bollix!!

He's an Arsenal player now. Hate him, but will not boo him. Hopefully he might prove useful. Maybe. :?

i don't think Silvestre has been signed just for cover, so who would lose his place for him in the defence? obviously the fullbacks are untouchable, and William Gallas is the captain so wont be dropped, this leave Kolo so perhaps this explains why Arsene tried him in midfield again recently, he could be the new flamini....by the way he's got a 2 year deal and he's over 30yo, hope thats the end of the daft 1 year rule or is that just for players who have already given good service to the club?

Agreed. Kolo has that habiy of going off on one up the centre like a headless chicken with Wayno chasing it, bollock naked and... er... arroused...

I think Wenger has done a shrood and clever bit of business here. But what gets me is the age factor, wenger doesn't like giving players contract extensions over the age of 30 let alone sign some-one and weve got him for 2 years. So why not offer Bobby P 2 years or Jens :S

well not Richard Dunne but a bloody big centre half, Cant remeber who said it the best partnership we had for ages was Campbell and Toure as they complimented each other where as Gallas and Toure dont

Well maybe you will withdraw the midget jibe then as none of us are allowed to call an Arsenal player anything derogatory?

Find me a proper quote saying Silvestre is not good in the air from an expert on such matters?

Or was he lucky to play for Man Yoo for 8 years?

Fuck me some of you lot really need your heads sorting!

Arsene knows!

We have to respect the financial position we are in at the moment!

We need experience and squad depth!

Silvestre ticks all tose boxes but you still are not happy!

Amazing how the rules change when he used to play for one of our rivals! Already people are saying they won't cheer himand that to me is fucking sad!

Grow up!
