Once again the all effort no class Giroud fires blanks against quality opposition. Simply not good enough to be first choice striker at a club with any club with serious title aspirations.

This is what you're going to get from him in big games, that much is clear. He wasn't as bad as at United or Dortmund away but blew a couple of golden chances at really important times - that's why you have to pay top dollar for genuinely class strikers like Suarez etc.

He was poor today again. So much so that the great unwashed were having a great time laughing at him!
Then when wenger brought billy on, well, it was embarrassing. The *word censored* were pissing themselves

Said it before. Giroud is not good enough for a side with prem title winning and cl aspirations. Off the bench as an option. Mix it up - Yes.
Our no. 1 striker - Defo not.

Thanks wenger

feel sorry for this guy, his quality isn't as good as needed for a number 1 with out intentions but his legs must be ready to fall off, plus always working up top in a 4-5-1

he is what he is but only a symptom of the Arsenal problem...

I Think todays performance shows that you need pace in abundance to be a top striker in the EPL,Giroud is effective against lesser teams but the lack of pace and aggression against the big boys is stifling us,we need a world class striker badly,a sharp footed forward today may have made citys defense work a lot harder,Giroud is to easy to take out of the game, you literally have to hand it to him on a plate for him to score,im not knocking him but against a decent side he doesn't quite cut it,and before anybody mentions the Bayern game away last season get real, one swallow doesn't make a summer.

I think he is a 20 goal per season striker.

A good player, but not the very top level that our competitors have as strikers.

He works his socks off, and looks shattered.

Correct on both counts - and it's no surprise he's knackered given what he's put in so far this season. If he's not physically at his peak he's not much use, his touch and pace in particular don't really have any room for error so when you're taking 10% off those you're in trouble.

I also think that added to his limitations at the top level he's hit a dip in form, happens to all players. Unfortunately for him there's nobody else stepping up scoring every week to ease the pressure and there's nobody who can shoulder some of the workload whilst he spends some time on the bench.

None of you fuckin peasants have worked a single day in football....so when our genius manager says Giroud is super quality and that Sanogo has a great potential and that Super Nic is 'an Arsenal boy' just sit there and take it......or fuck off and support Spurs
