Now, that is probably (surely?!) utter bollocks, but if true then there's clearly something going on here. Are Chelsea (Abramovich) finding underhand ways of working around FFP? - I thought Citeh's training ground sponsorship deal was bad but this deals smells rotten to me.

Saw on a newspaper or website a while back that the Luiz fee was nearer £10m ...Not accusing anyone of anything but inflated figures reportedly received on transfer fees could disguise finances otherwise accrued..

I raised that question a few pages back as well - whether or not you rate schurrle and/or de bryne (some people actually do ), it does not make sense how the chavs can buy these players, rarely use them, and then sell them for a whopping great profit Something stinks about these deals (especially when you consider that Wolfsburg have been involved in both)

yup anyone paying over 20m for schurrle is suspicious. I'm guessing Chelsea have found away to 'donate' money to teams which then finds its way back to Chelsea. Oh look revenue growth!!!

I like it when they take our shite players off our books, but I don't like it so much when they take the shit chav players and give them a fortune to buy better players like cuadaro (meant to be good player anyway)
