The way they played today was atrocious, totally lacking in confidence and endeavour. His use of Podolski has been criminal.

Unfortunately his legacy may be that we are a club that big players will not want to come to for a few years to come.

With all respect, thankyou for your service and many happy times, but your service in it's current capacity is no longer required. Happy for you to take over the club's property management but nothing in the playing or transfers arena.

PS The FA cup will not cut it I'm afraid - it's no longer about trophys.
It's taken 490 posts but - despite some spirited defending at times - like most of us you've had to concede to the inevitable eventually!! A belated welcome to the club Swifty. :barscarf: 8)
Ha ha smart ass! At least i did signal i was waivering earlier in the season. But I am all aboard the AW train out of London now!

Just out of curiosity shouldn't the board take a bit a shit also? What manager worth his salt is going to ruin his reputation joining a club where the main ambition of the board is to line their own pockets and to finish 4th whilst showing the upmost contempt for their own supporters?

As for wenger - I don't have enough time to say it all so I'll be better of saying - I'm speechless

Top 4 spot in real joepardy now, I really think he can surpass all his previous fuck ups and blow both that and the cup.

Some fans were calling for him to go outside the stadium last night on Arsenal Fan TV. Can you imagine that being said a few years ago?

The worm has finally turned.

Haha predictable Wengerisms. "Chelsea hangover"...... "Overall the spirit was great"......

I think I preferred it when we had a media blackout (that clearly helped us shed the memory of the Chelsea hammering and focus on beating one of the easiest opponents in the league)

there is a perfect storm brewing here.
if we accept that City will beat us on Saturday and Everton beat Fulham on Sunday then we will head to Everton with them only needing to beat us to overtake us in 4th.

the press might then really start to put the boot in.
the club will be turned into a laughing stock if we give Wenger a new contract - with or without an FA Cup win

I said about two or three years ago on here that the biggest danger is that Wonga leaves us in a world of shit and walks away leaving a hell of a mess. I can see that happening.

5th place, too many players on huge fat contracts that are undeserving, and a backroom team that is poor, at every single level in the club. To be fair to the next manager, whoever that may be......it's going to take a couple of years just to try to put right some of the shit that Wonga has been allowed to build up over the years, before we even think about fighting genuinely for a title. But at least a new manager would TRY and win the domestic cups!!??

One of the things that is really pissing me off at the mo (and there are many, many things) is the citing the injured players as an excuse for what we are seeing - are people honestly telling me that we should need a full strength team to beat a swansea team that were 4pts off relegation ? Are people honestly telling me that our starting line up last night shouldnt be good enough to beat that swansea side comfortably ? In real terms, the market value of 2 or 3 players on our team last night would be more than the whole swansea team put together and we were a premature referee's whistle away from losing last night ffs

Instead of focusing on what we dont have at the moment, we should be focusing on what we do have and what we do have shouldnt be getting destroyed last saturday and shouldnt be dropping points to swansea

Arsenal have become totally institutionalised under Wenger and my fear is that when he leaves nobody will have a continental clue what to do. Any situation that will arise will have the simpletons scratching their heads wondering what to do and the standard response will be that "Arsene used to look after that". :banghead:

IF he goes he is consciously setting up his successor to fail. Personally I couldnt fathom the thinking behind awarding rosicky a new deal - he is now 33 and plays in a position where we are already overstocked (ozil and cazorla) so why tie up wages with him ? :? As it stands, with or without wenker, we are gonna have to recruit a right back (sagna leaving), at least 1 centre back (tv5 leaves and already short there) a new keeper (flaps and viviano are gone)and at least 2 new strikers so that is a huge investment without the need to keep rosicky.
Btw I am still beating the drum over the need to recruit a big strong physical defensive midfielder and it is a drum that I have been beating for a few years now :( I would go so far as to say that if we could only buy 2 players in the summer then 1 should be a powerful DM (the other a striker obviously) - the midfield is the engine room for any team and, with so many lightweights in our team, we need somebody in there to ball win and "protect" our ball players

At 6 nil down on Sunday I texted one of the lads I go to the games with saying that Wenger should be hounded out of the club at the end of the season. This guy is the head shepard of the Wenger sheep, an absolute simpleton of a man. Arsenal could lose every game 17-0 and get relegated and he'd still be up the hole of Arsene. Anwyway the below is a selection of his texts, and people wonder why I'm on the verge of a massive breakdown!

"this club is on the rise and we have wenger to thank for that"

"when we lift the FA cup he will announce his new contract, here's to the next 1000"

"be careful what you wish for" :banghead:

"the FA cup is on the way and champ lge again, what a miracle worker. Nobody could have achieved more on our budget over the last 10 years"

"the money is available now due to Wenger's brilliance, he has transformed the club, genius of a man"

"top 4 and FA cup, even the most optimistic of supporters would have taken that at the start of the season and you call them gutless"

Sorry for sharing that sh1te but I'm at my wits end here today :(
