The 2015 Transfer Rumours Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The king of tip tap seals another dream move !

BBC World Service Sport's John Bennett:

"Remember Alexander Hleb? The former Arsenal midfielder is on the move on deadline day. Hleb has just left Konyaspor but is staying in Turkey. The 33 year-old has joined Gençlerbirligi Spor Kulubu."

"He made 89 league appearances for Arsenal between 2005 and 2008 before leaving to join Barcelona."

Has anyone taken Neuer and Hummels to wenger's front door yet?

Bet he still wouldn't them and then bang on about it for the next 10 years of the players he nearly signed....

Most of us expected fcuk all business of note......we got what we expected

Have to say, and I could be very wrong, but even this thread seems to have been a lot quieter than any of the previous transfer window threads

Must be a sign that we are all happy with the current squad or given up all hope...but looking at things the squad is probably the best shape it has been in for 7 years...

Can only speak for myself but I have given up all hope - personally, despite our dearth of defenders, the need for a quality physically imposing DM was even greater than the need for a centre half, so the fact that we didn't sign one makes this another poor transfer window for me. Playing either chambers or debouchy at centre half against the chavs (for example) would be less of a worry for me than playing coquelin against matic and cesc. Granted I know fcuk all about paulista but I fail to see how any Gooner could be happier with the squad today, than they were one month ago - signing another kid with potential and another player unproven at the top level, doesn't make us good enough any more than wins against villa, brighton and hull does

I'll be honest was not expecting much from this window, actually a bit surprised he bought a defender.

Oh well here's hoping he actually goes into the summer with a cohesive transfer policy.....Oh, i just realised what i typed

We are still short another CD, a DCM and a top class striker and a better GK than our relegated No1 immaterial of how the team is playing, he also needs to have a clear out of the excess 5'5 CMs in the summer and get rid of the overpaid deadwood, anyonewant to run a book on howmuch of that he'll actually do?

haha. 8)

Absolutely. This whole transfer day yellow-themed "event" that SlySports have dreamed up is the greatest pile of stinking non-event shite ever, and this year is even more of a non-event. I flicked in and out of their coverage and it was hilarious watching that fucking bafoon Jim White trying to add an element of tension to so many middle of the road nothing transfers and loans. What a prick.

Agree with augie 100% on the DM. Coq (as yet anyway) is not the answer and Arteta is past it. Captain Stupid never had it to be past it, so let's not even count that arm waving drama bitch. A top top DM is far more important to our current set up than a new CH. I don't rate Mert the cowardly bitch anymore but he can on occasion do the job and Kos is decent. But a top top DM can cover a creaky defence and lighten their workload considerably. Another window fucked up, much like Rodders fucking up Natalie's bedroom window by leaving his snail trail smeared all over that fucker. :(
