Didn't fall for any of the Theatrics that Brazil were getting away with in some of the group games but should have booked Maicon for diving in the first half . Allowed the game to flow and some physical contact unlike the earlier Game today which was very stop / start .
The Dutch will really have to up their Game if they want to make the semi's
though , the Brazilians whilst not their brilliant swaggering best ,still look the
team with the most so far .
Howard fucking Webb.... I can't stand this cheating *word censored*, he's just a preening, bald headed, cunting poseur, who, imo, shouldn't be there.

Just heard a clip of David Pleat at the end of the Italy/Slovakia game, when Italy went out. It went something like...

"...and now Italy know that it's all over, they are out and will now have to say (PAUSE)...Au Revoir"

Seem to have so much in reserve, pacing themselves well.

Can see their defending being too strong for main threats Argentina and Spain.
i must admit i'm starting to believe. this is not the best technical brazil side of the last few years, not even close to it, but it is tactically very efficient. dunga is impressing everyone, that's his first job as a manager.

Does anyone else like the look of the Japanese goalkeeper?
He impressed me in the pre tournament friendly against England and has been cracking throughout the tournament - just made another cracking save a few moments ago in extra time.

Would definitely have preferred to see Japan go through.

Imagine Paraguay play Portugal in the next round? A quarter final I have absolutely no incentive to watch!

Hope Spain get through to the semi-final now then. :D

Also...does anyone have any idea why Shunsuke Nakamura didn't get a go for Japan?

One of my favourite players, and now it looks like he'll never play in a World Cup again.

When Endo got the yellow there (and thus suspension) I thought Nakamura would certainly have gotten time in the quarter final were Japan to make it...
