Fucking hilarious that with all their resources Madrid still have Benzema plodding around up front 5 years after he was any good. Tragic.

Ajax beating Real Madrid 3-0 at the moment. Beautiful justice for the prick Sergio Ramos who took the deliberate yellow card thinking he would only miss this game! Schadenfreude at its best!
Good player schadenfreude, Wenger knew all about him, almost signed him you know.

Aberdeen were the last winners outside Celtic and Rangers in 84/85...Roll of honour reads Rangers 54 titles Celtic 49 titles and Aberdeen in third place have four... :D

Not that I'd shed two many tears for monkey magic but he's scored winners in two champions league finals for them, which in any other club would make him a legend for all eternity, yet they've spent the past few weeks boo'ing him up and down the pitch. Scum club, scum fans, the only club in Madrid that has a soul is Atletico who I bet thoroughly enjoyed that last night, as did I.

Couldn't have put it better myself - Ronaldo got all the plaudits (2 years ago especially), but the reality is that he didn't get a kick of it and bale was the won that won the games for them

Fantastic result for Ajax last night.

How much credit should Overmars be getting and should we be snapping him up as soon as possible?

Whatever about Overmars we should definitely look to be pillaging some of their players. Ajax, just like that superb Monaco team from a few seasons back, are going to have all those top players plucked one by one by bigger clubs and we should definitely be keen to get in on a piece of that action as they have some absolutely fantastic players. Would love to see a couple of Dutch players back at Arsenal.

Frankie De Jong was absolutely outstanding last night and he's already been picked off by Barca so I certainly hope we are keeping tabs on them especially De Ligt at centre back who looks like he could become a colossus of a defender.

One of the red tops yesterday claimed that overmars has said that he will bring de ligt with him if he gets the technical director job at AFC - when you read the article closer, it actually says that overmars said that he will "do his best" to bring de ligt with him, but that is a world of difference and especially when you consider how much he will cost
