three duds?

Adebarndoor? yup

Toure? Was playing very well up until he became bulumic and better than anything we had at CB last season

Clichy? Who knows, he might prove to be a decent signing playing in a team that has a system that protects their full backs

Small time club, we cant compete with the big boys anymore.

We're a glorified Everton or Aston Villa.

I think the problem is we cant compete wit £180,000 a p/w wage packets. Football is getting worse and worse, if we want to start paying players that we will see a lot more than a 6% rise in our season tickets.

How can you possibly compete with Man City's Money. Football is in a sad, sad state.

Looking at the 2 possible transfers, £20 Million for Nasri is better than the £0 we recieved for Flamini, plus if we can wangle a decent squad player in the deal aswell, bring in Gervinho for half the fee of Nasri then invest in another player such as Cahill/Samba we could be looking at getting 3 very decent players for the price of 1 who would rather play for money. If the Clichy deal goes through thats another £5 Million in the pot to invest aswell, so we seem to have a large budget to play with after buying a center back and a winger/striker in gervinho and Cahill/Samba, surely this would leave room for a big money signing such as Mata or Hazard to replace Nas

No, if we signed players and showed ambition they would stay.

If Nasri or Fabregas go to United/Barca it certainly isnt for the money. Its to win things.

180k is a figure from thin air, we refused to offer him even 100k. I believe personally all the players want to win trophies first and foremost and they will get that chance at City/United/Barc not here.

There is no loyalty in football, but that is something that went 10 years ago. We cant complain we stole Sol.

I guarantee Wilshere will leave the club in the coming years if we dont win something.

Exactly Frank, some people live on anoher planet, one where no-one looks at previous history.

We could end up with something around £60m coming in, and ther'es no way we're going to spend that much, so therell be no new money being spent, more transfer surpluses for the board to lap up, and a whopping price increase that we're still swallowing like acid down our throats.

Time's up Wenger. Please leave.

piresitable: "My belief is that if you can see it, Arsene certainly can see what’s valid in what you describe, especially as it was manifest in the last month’s collapse"

these very same problems have been manifest for 4 years at least, when will these idiots learn

"endure the brutalities of the actual English game as it is currently allowed to be played"

ffs get real pal, the english game is played the english way, always has, hopefully always will, its the same for our rivals too..... to change that will change what makes english football a great watch, who wants to watch serie a or la liga, sorry the football played by all bar barca is boring, most games are shit. the occasional shocking injuries are suffered because of our slow boring, crappy tippy tappy football...its funny back in the days of henry viera, et al we never suffered such horrific injuries caused by oppo players...coincidece???

"wengers exit will cause a mass exodus and lead to us having to rebuild massively" mass exodus??? our best players want to leave anyway, AW's leavng wont make a rats arse of difference, hopefully a mass exodus would occur, as the majority of the current squad are overated, pampered, dont give a shit, and in their comfort zones. i wold hope there would be a mass exit. rebuilding?? thank christ for that we've needed it for t least 4 years, if AWs exit leads to that great... cos get this we aint going anywhere with this current group of players. those that show the neessary quality, get peed of by the lack of success and the averageness of their colleagues and fuck off leaving us at square one again. this current system can never work.

id be very interested to know where your from originally and how long you have followed the club, as you sound very much like a jcl who knows only 90's arsenal. if not how can you not see this, can you not see the club has lost significant ground on the top clubs and been caught up by the likes of sperz over the last few years...dont say we have no money...explain the wage bill, and explain crap or past it players getting big long contracts...not to protect thier value, as we then cant shift them on its because AW is far to stubborn to admit his project has failed.

Remember Gazidis's answer in the meeting with AST recently when asked 'who's responsible for letting Clichy and Nasri's contracts run down"

His answer.......

Gazidis: we collectively have to judge how much it makes sense to invest in each player at each point in their career at the club.

How the fuck can it make any sense to let contracts run down on your higher profile and often 'top' players?

The guy is on £1.5m a year. He was brought in to negotiate commercial contracts, including player sales and contracts.

WE'VE GOT AS MUCH DEAD WOOD IN THE SALES TEAM AS IN THE SQUAD.

ARSENAL IS A MASSIVE GRAVY TRAIN.

I'M SO FUCKED OFF WITH THIS.

Maybe selling nasri to citeh will guarantee us Cahill, as they were sniffing round him. Tbh we need cahill more than nasri who played well for half a season, but i would keep the more effective arshavin.
I would love us to get e'to which would mean having to sell song. In total we should expect at least £60m from selling 3 players. Can wenger land a true world class playeer with that?
