This fucking useless *word censored* is starting to make me sick at the sight of him, miscontrols a pass and it's na-na-na-fucking-na-na - misses a glorious chance and it's na-na-na-fucking-na again... shanks a shot to the corner flag it's more of the fucking same fucking chant, he can end up getting a brace today and I will still think he's a fucking useless *word censored*....

Back when we signed Alan Smith I can re-call the media clamour about how he was a waste of money because the club scored only one goal in the first three matches of 1986/87 season and the goal was not from him.
Once he scored his first league goal and a hat trick in the same game thereafter against Portsmouth he never really looked back despite a fairly average first season if truth be told.

Smithy did pretty well for us did he not? No reason Giroud, of whom there are similarities with Smith, cannot do the same.

Keep the faith.
LOL! Not as good as Lee Chapman, Or Bendtner tbh.

He’s only scored 8 Prem goals, but Giroud has nerve to tell Wenger: I won’t be happy if you buy a striker

OLIVIER GIROUD has told Arsene Wenger: DON’T buy another striker.
The Arsenal hitman had previously pleaded with boss Wenger to bring in some more top-quality forwards.

Arrogant bastard...

He obviously hasn't been here long enough. He'll soon realise Wenger is quite capable of NOT signing a striker on his own

I think last season's title-wrecking 15 game goal drought answered that question definitively. He's not good enough and never will be.

Yet another failed project player from TOF, who is protecting him from being justifiably replaced and paying him £130K a week. Fucking scandalous.

There's more to it for me than him just not being good enough. A lot of the blame is down to Wenger and his ludicrous obsession with wedging players into his "system". It is very obvious that the extremely limited Giroud is not suited to the lone striker role in a 4-5-1 and yet Wenger persists with playing him there.

We all know Giroud, at his best, is bang average, and at his worst he's utter gash, but if played in a role that suited his few strengths we could, and probably would, get a better return from him.

But no matter what way we played him, he absofuckinglutely should NOT be getting paid £130K per week - that bit is scandalous beyond belief. :x

He's about a 6.0 - 7.5 rating player in a system that fits him like he plays with France, where Griezman plays as a second striker off of him. In our single striker formation (which is trash) he's about a 4.0 - 6.5.

Preaching to the choir, mate.

I think it's ludicrous that he's expected to be a hold up man (and is lauded for it on occasion) when he should be on the end of attacks, not playing like a number ten who plays others in. We have Ozil for that, FFS.

He's a cult player and the Tarquins love him because he looks like a male model and has a good chant. He'd be lucky to get on our bench, IMO. His fanboys love him and won't have anything said against him (Much like the AKB, hmm).

4-4-2 would probably work better for Donkey, but only if they didn't have him drop deep. He's a target man, nothing more. It's an insult to Alan Smith to make any comparison. Smudger's assists and goals put him out of Giroud's league.

But for TOF and his obsession for midfielders and his quasi-strikerless system. I think he'd be happy to have ten midfielders on the pitch, passing sideways for the whole season. Our style of play is awful - Basic errors in defence and a total lack of cutting edge up front.

The lone striker role in our low-tempo, unimaginative system is incredibly demanding.

But Giroud is not only not good enough for that system, he is nowhere near good enough to be our main striker whatever system we play. All of the sides who have actually challenged for or won the title in the last half a decade have all had a striker who has been around that 25-30 PL goal mark. Suarez, Costa, Aguero, van Persie, Kane, Vardy - you can't challenge without that.

In 4 seasons despite playing nearly 90% of PL games, Giroud averages 14 and hasn't bettered 16 despite being our lead and lone striker.

Watching this arrogant slug saunter round like he is world class whilst rival strikers are winning games single-handedly on a regular basis for the fifth season in a row is a sickening thought.

A Dolly bird version of Niall Quinn

Definitely my least favorite player of the current squad and that says a lot as there is a nice motley collection of wage thief's in there.

Dislike him because of :
a) For a big man he is a whinging wuss.........don't fall over clutching yer face every ten minutes and then bitch to the ref for ten about it.

b) ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY GRAND .........per WEEK ..........Really ? No, really and fucking truly ? Obscene amount but hey, in that socialist wage structure that Wenger employs ........

c) His arrogance......Cut from the same cloth as Wenger........nuff said

d) That fucking Ear cupping :censored: See above .........
Needs a good old fashioned centre half elbow that lifts out half a tonne of hair gel and one of those jugs simultaneously

Purely a squad player and a 'plan B' where we lob the ball up around him in the last twenty minutes if needed. As mentioned en mass, doesn't cut it in a one man up top role.

When he's good, he's very very Average, when he's bad, he's utter utter gash.
