From the BBC
"Tottenham say they have reached an agreement with Schalke midfielder Lewis Holtby to join the club in July subject to medical."

Holtby has signed a pre-contract with the vermin, it's on the Beeb site and apparently on the official swamp dwellers twatter feed.
They better get champs league now as if he's not done a medical or signed on the doted line, he can waltz off to chavs/shitty/manure an other with moneybags and champs league football
It'll be Hazard all over again.

Holtby to the
in the summer confirmed.
Pre-contract agreement signed.
Still, at least Arsene was watching him, just like Ronaldo.

Seeing as we need a decent striker and a decent holding player none of which Holtby is, I would be a littlef'ed off if we'd gone hell for leather for a player that is low down on the list of players we desperately need.
Sissokho,M'villa(if he stops being ahead case),Llorente and a decent centre back all players we need not Holtby.

All players we have resorted to sending out on loan as no competent mananger would sign them and match the wages Turnip has them on at Arsenal. I'd love to know how much Arsenal are still contributing to these players wage packet on a weekly basis??? Think I read somewhere that Sao Paolo pay 5 grand of Lego head's 50 grand a week wage packet with Arsenal picking up the rest

See your point but how many years has Arteta got in him? Rosicky the same?

Tbh I haven't seen enough of Holtby to make a definitive judgement but the media here were desperate to talk up how good he was before the game against us. I certainly didn't see any outstanding potential on the basis of those two games.
If he's signed for Spurs at the earliest possible opportunity what does it say about how highly he rates himself? Let's be fair if he was that good Dortmund or Munich would have gone for him on a freebie. Not losing any sleep over this bloke at all.

Rosicky lol, he'll play til he's 40 but only at a rate of about 3-5 games a yearOld Rosie wrote:topgoon wrote:Seeing as we need a decent striker and a decent holding player none of which Holtby is, I would be a littlef'ed off if we'd gone hell for leather for a player that is low down on the list of players we desperately need.

I don't think whether any of us losing sleep over it is the point.
The fact is he is one the the most highly rated young midfielders in Europe who our dawdling manager has openly expressed an interest in yet we lose out once again.
As for Dortmund or Munich, he publicly said he wanted to play in England next so that kinda ruled those clubs out.

If he was really that good (and I haven't heard him mentioned as that highly rated tbf) manure, man shitty or chavski would have been just 3 clubs he would be at way before them twats.Old Rosie wrote:I don't think whether any of us losing sleep over it is the point.

i know but right now McCarthy from Wigan would be a better option. Holtby plays more like Jack and sometimes behind the front playersLess like Arteta.Old Rosie wrote:topgoon wrote:Seeing as we need a decent striker and a decent holding player none of which Holtby is, I would be a littlef'ed off if we'd gone hell for leather for a player that is low down on the list of players we desperately need.

As a replacement for Rosicky or instead of Rambo then definitely.

Oh so we judge a player on the clubs he didn't go to?
Ok as you haven't really heard of him both Tottingham and the Gerrman Football Federation must be wrong.
Well he was in a side that rolled us over but I don't suppose that counts either.
