If we win the FA Cup it's a great season. If we don't then is it's been shit. Simple.
If we get 4th too then even better but not essential.
My seven year old is so excited about the final, five weeks before the event. It's all he talks about.

My son was 5 at the 2001 final. Cried inconsolably for an hour.Leyton Gooner wrote:Me tooMonkeymaw wrote:My seven year old is so excited about the final, five weeks before the event. It's all he talks about.

I know this Gooner has been seen ranting on (YouTube) before, but instead of ranting he makes some good points.

Actually, quite excellent points there I must admit.OneBardGooner wrote:I know this Gooner has been seen ranting on (YouTube) before, but instead of ranting he makes some good points.

If that is so, it will be because there is no movement, no changes at the club, Wenger will keep buying below par (cheap) players, because in his (delusional financially outmoded) mind he still believes he can spend peanuts and get a 'top, top quality player' - something we know is no longer possible, especially with the the shyte scouting system that now operates under his Machiavellian like command AND the financial system that (sadly) now rules football - just as it does society and the world at large. (OzIL was a panic buy btw, and look how THAT has turned out so far)...It was well known that he (Ozil) was not only lazy, but would play great for a few games (usually those where his team were on top) and then go missing when it came to crunch time.nut flush gooner wrote:Quite, I will come back to this thread in a years time and it will be same old same old, groundhog day, yaaawwwwn.northbank123 wrote:On one hand people say that it is pointless whining on here and it's doing nothing at games. Any sense of 'Groundhog day/season' has been brought about by Wenger (and the Board) and the continual incompetence in the transfer market AND in failing to change the way the team operates; NO Plan B, NO Tactics, NO Fluidity when things are going awry in games....
Wenger may have had to operate on a budget tighter than a ducks sphincter, but that doesn'r excuse or explain his inability to be fluid and change tactics in a game when the world and his dog can see what needs changing.
How often have we seen the team struggling and 95% of the fans and the pundits and commentators all see the simple and obvious changes that need to be made (before it is too late) and what does Wenger do? Instead of doing what is obvious and necessary, he either starts whinging and moaning throwing his arms about like a hapless windmill OR just sits there on the touchline like a rabbit caught in the headlights doing F*CK ALL!
I want so much for Wenger to be able to leave on a high note, with his head held high and with his dignity intact, but it has now gone past that, even if we win the FA Cup AND do finish in the top 4 this season, it is (sadly) all too late. I do not want to end up detesting him, but due to his arrogance and obstinate nature to either make the much needed necessary changes to his training methods AND his financial stance (bring in coaches with new and better knowledge, or a tactician etc, pay the going rate for players) or move aside, many who once admired and had great affection for him as a manager are now exhausted by his single mindedness.
Wenger brought us amazing times - trophies, success, pride - he 'was' the one who challenged fergie and manure when no one else would or could - But, his time is done - even fergie couldn't work his magic forever - no one can..be it artist, politician, athlete or football manager - If they are fortunate they have their time in the spotlight, then move on to make way for new ideas and developments, see the truth of their position and admit the new order....But Wenger can't and won't and so he has become a figure to be mocked and THAT truly is Sad.
All things must change that's the way of it - we/he may not like it, but that is how it is and always will be.

When better than when the 4th placed trophy is secured and before the Wembley choke ?mcdowell42 wrote:Rumours on twitter tht wenger has already signed the contract and the club are just waiting for the right PR moment.
If that contract gets signed post Carrow Road I fear the plastic sheeting will be insufficient and I'll have to sandbag my lounge instead

When the U.S government finally admits that Aliens have visited us and one was even the president of the United States, that is when Arsenal will finally deliver the news we have all been waiting for.
Re: WENGER - Views For and Against.
I saw this and thought it very appropriate for the general reaction if we dared to live the 3rd place dream
