We are in fourth and look to have a better chance than Everton of finishing the season there, which would mean target achieved and no need to strengthen the squad. There is also the possibility of getting third place which would mean we had OVER-achieved and there would be no need to strengthen the squad except in exceptional circumstances i.e. long term injury which never happens at Arsenal, loss of form which also never happens because everyone has qualiteee and mental strength, or death.

i'm still trying to figure out how 'injuries' would have stopped us getting raped in the first twenty minutes against City, Liverpool and Chelsea.

this is the new Wenger and AKB meme, Ramsey and Walcott's goals (jack ? - don't make me laugh) would have meant we were champions.

errrr no. Champions win against the top six. not get 1 win and 1 draw in 10 games or 4 points from 30...

Weren't they all fit and available when we limped our way to the most pathetic of defeats at Old Trafford anyway?

Those two wanky displays against them actually hurt more than the mullerings at the Etihad, Anfield and the Bridge.

A United team who haven't looked close to beating anyone else in the top six and we barely mustered a shot over 180 minutes in the two games. Fucking gutless

the Home performance was worse than the gutless loss up there - explained by the Specialist in Failure as due to "the players low confidence after a big loss"....

W.T.F. - whose fucking job is it to motivate the team so that doesn't happen ?. we should of gone out there with a view of mullering them 5-0 or 6-0 to show it was a blip, but instead we pansyied around trying not to lose.

that comes from the coach and his lack of leadership and motivation skills. plus his lack of awareness that that United side were in deep doo doo and more vulnerable than we were.

which The Idiot would have known if he studied the facking opposition :banghead:

We were lucky to escape with a draw. The Little Boy Inside missed a first minute sitter presented to him and Ches made the save of the match. Over the 2 games we were second best to a side so poor they feel compelled to sack the manager in his first season

No wonder wenger didn't want to leave arsenal. He will never get sacked

Moyes - 9 months a failure = the sack
Wenger - 9 years a failure = new contract

Just goes to show that you only get rewarded if you become a specialist in failure :banghead:

No, that's the difference between a club who has ambition and wants to win things and a club who is happy with qualifying for the CL only.

Such is our remarkable consistency in winning the VT, I believe the FA are commissioning a special framed league table with a gold plated strip on 4th place which we get to keep

To be fair, if moyes had managed to get united to qualify for the CL then he probably wouldn't have been sacked!

This. 4th would have saved his bacon this season but he would have needed to kick on next year. United would not accept 4th spot being acceptable long term like the yanks do with us.

You are wrong there, united fans same as us won't accept 4th but if you think a yank owner wouldn't accept 4th, a £40million pound minimum cash generator with a minimal spend compared to rivals then you are kidding yourself.

Jw Henry got lucky this season the David brenton Rodgers is giving them the title and champs league, make no mistake if they won the Fa cup and started next season out of Europe's elite compo then his job would have been on the line.

If we get pipped by blue dippers but win the Fa cup, syrup and fig man will let him carry on if we are competing to get back there and look like winning the Europa but if we are as adrift as Manure are by next Xmas and dumped out of the Europa then they will fire him.

Still hoping he'll win both the real Fa cup and HIS virtual trophy and then bow out with all our blessing. 5 Fa cups,2 doubles and an unbeaten championship winning season is still excellent record to leave behind. Shame about the 8yrs in between.

Am amazed no one here has put up Sean Dyche to replace Wenger.
Sure someone will be stupid enough to suggest it before long.
