had a run in with an akb this morning in my coffee shop.the blokes been a gooner since 54,he should know better.i haven't seen him since the wheels have dropped off,i said to him ' I told you Wenger has got to go' he said ' you just wont acknowledge success,youre as bad as the rest of them,and wheres your man now who you wanted to take over,Michael Laudrup,sat at home doing nothing'!!!! unfuckingbelievable,success what success,what a moron.he then bleated on about had we not lost wally,ramsey etc etc then we would have won the league,i tried to explain that these injuries are down to Wenkers ott pre season so he has brought it on himself,but again I was hitting my head on a brick wall,what is the fucking point with talking to some people,talk about Stockholm syndrome

As much as I despise Wenger's laissez faire approach to squad management, I don't think managers like Rodgers, Martinez, Simeone, Klopp etc deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as him.

With his contract, Wenger can do what he likes. Fans have no right to ask for him to be sacked, Wenger is beyond that. The club also leaves it to Wenger to decide what he thinks is best - when he leaves, if he leaves, doesn't he want a 2 or 4 year contract etc.

Wenger can do what he likes and we fans should respect and accept that, Wenger has put in the work to earn that sort of freedom.

Jw Henry got lucky this season the David brenton Rodgers is giving them the title and champs league,make no mistake if they won the Fa cup and started next season out of Europe's elite compo then his job would have been on the line.

to be fair, John Henry supported him last season when they were very iffy. but they kicked on this year. I'm not sure JWH expected the title this year but CL football yes - especially with the change at United. He will expect that next year too.

Henry is a pragmatist who has fought off the Yankees for the last 12 years - who have way more money and talent, but he hires good coaches, good backroom staff, sets up a good farm/youth system and is a success at everything he does - Red Sox, Paw Sox, NESN, NASCAR, and now Liverpool.

Henry, Tom Werner and Larry Lucchino have in turns been at Anfield once a month since they bought them - even during the closed season, to keep an eye on the club.

Nothing like David Moyes now being free to require swift battening down of hatches in North London, in case he shows up at the Emirates and Wenger decides he is the Chosen One as well...there'd be a lot of backtracking and sounds of humble pie being consumed in this forum, for sure. Now, obviously Moyes is damaged goods so that isn't going to happen, but as I have observed before on this thread, many would have been happy (or not unhappy) with Moyes a year ago. As MU have found out, losing a good manager is easy, getting a better new one more difficult. The first team captain at the Hindsight Arms currently favours Rodgers, Martinez, Simeone etc. Laudrup and Moyes appear out of favour with him for some reason, but they were hot property a year back (Laudrup for Real Madrid, remember?).

I wouldn't change anything, but that's just my opinion. But I'll listen to anyone who tells me who NEXT season's Rodgers/Simeone is going to be. There's your man. Personally, I wouldn't rule out Arsene Wenger, and he's available for the job.

i'd agree with you if we were losing a good manager, but we are not.

we are losing someone who had 100million to spend in the last THREE transfer windows according to the club accounts, but still found himself 2-0 down in 20 minutes at City, Liverpool and Chelsea, and only took 4 points out of 30 from the top six.

comparing someone who has won nothing in the last nine years, with someone who has won THIRTEEN trophies is just laughable.

id take Laudrup in a heart beat,swansea were bonkers sacking him.when will you understand that football has passed Wenker by,we only beat the dross.using Moyes as an example is bullshit,look at Man city,they found a decent manger twice over,look at Chelsea they've had multiple successful managers since we last won a trophy,ffs their interim manager won the CL something clueless will never do.you stick with Wenker mate but expect ZERO league tiltles and ZERO CL titles,i wont him gone and yes Laudrup for me still
