Found his comments pretty hilarious, bitter wanker. Obviously Chelsea were (predictably) defensive but saying the opponents didn't come to try and win the game looks pretty fucking stupid when they've turned you over 2-0. It was a particularly Wenger-esque moan about the opposition basically not rolling over.

Another classic Wonga saying........'I stayed at on the bench more this season because I didn't want to make the players more nervous by being on the touchline so much'.............................I don't think the microphones caught the last bit.........."and I don't have a clue what to do when it all goes wrong in the first 10 minutes so I sit there looking dumb and play with my zip to take my mind off of the score......."

I cant help feeling we were just 8 minutes away from being rid of Wenger two weeks ago. That thought has been in my mind ever since that semi final and I cannot shake it. Even the bullet proof Wenger wouldn't have survived losing that game. I didn't actually want us to lose as I feel the fans need a trophy and its important that it is one that is non virtual. However getting Wenger away from this club is even more important than that. It is crucial.

Winning the FA Cup doesn't mean you're a good team (Wigan won it last year and went down) so if we win the cup it shouldn't be allowed to paper over the cracks. The trouble is that is exactly what will happen ... and Wenger and the members of his cult, who have showed contempt towards the cups for many years, will suddenly hail it as success. That's how those bastards work.

Losing the final wont have the same effect as losing the semi because its the last game. Wenger can disappear for the summer and not have to face any hostility from the crowd.

I struggle to take our club seriously anymore. This is not the club it used to be. I'm stating the obvious there I know and preaching to the converted but it is an absolute disgrace that Wenger is being offered another new deal when there has been no progress made whatsoever since his last deal.

I just don't think I can take two more years of him as he has already made me go down a road no fan should go down ... the one where you have doubts over whether winning is a good thing. Where the joy of scoring goals is gone and where you are numb to the sting of conceding goals and losing games. Once you go down that route is there any way back? Or has the spell been broken? Its seriously fucked up having those doubts but Arsenal have become a fucked up club run by fucked up people.

Not sure what I will do this summer if Wenger stays but it is clear that there is no desire at the club to improve and move up to the next level this has been the case for a completely unreasonable amount of time for any fan to take.

some good points but ultimately it is more important to win the FA Cup than to get rid of Wenger.
No supporter should ever want their team to lose in the FA Cup.

the way I see it is this - even if Wenger left this summer (and I still really hope that he does) and we got a new manager then they would still be working towards the same low standards set by the board. We are not a club that has any ambition of winning the league anymore.

Wenger is now a short term problem that will be removed probably in 2 years time. It was Ivan Gazidis' words in February that had me more worried about the future of the club though.
He said "One of the things that Arsène has brought to the club is this fantastic style of play. It’s really progressive – people love to watch it and it’s always enjoyable to watch that style of football. What’s great is to have the tension of the title race"
there is so much wrong with that statement - we no longer have a fantastic style of play, we are no longer progressive, yet he still believes it to be the case. the tension of the title race comment made me more annoyed than any other this season. WE WERE NEVER IN A FUCKING TITLE RACE :banghead: :banghead: Watching the Liverpool match yesterday I was just so envious of them having such an important match - we havent had one of those for years.

this club now no longer has any ambition of winning the league - it likes to believe it is competing but then come the business end of the season is quite happy to settle for 4th place. And for the prices charged at the Emirates this is no more than a massive CON!

That is a worry, an FA Cup (which we haven't won yet) is a green light for Arsene to continue the project. Well Arsene's credit is well and truly out and he should be judged like any other manager at a big club by the fans. But we don't need to wait until the end of next season we know the warning signs and they'll all be in summer, no activity free transfers, press statements about the market being tough. Same squad at the start of next season.

Not even going to try and pretend that Arsene won't be our manager next season, why lie to oneself?

And the aim should be the league building a squad for the league, if Arsene still continues to argue about the positives of having a small (obedient) squad, making excuses as to why he or the team can't be judged yet(buying young kids where he promises the world to us) then he should be booted out.

I really do think that possibly one of the biggest problems at the club now is that part of the fanbase actually think we are still trying to win the league - WE ARE NOT and havent been since we moved to the Emirates.

this club is happy for the top 4 every season. there is no ambition for anything higher.
if anyone has any evidence to suggest otherwise then I would be happy to see it.

anyway the bottom line is this - Wenger in the eyes of Kroenke and the board has had a very successful season...

This is why my head is exploding at the moment. I want Arsenal to win every game, hardly the biggest revelation ever made on here I would imagine. I mean that's the whole point of this being a supporter thing right? However, I also want Wenger OUT as badly as I have ever wanted anything in this life. And right now these two things are no longer compatible.

We have 4 games to play this season and as of today he has not signed a contract. That's as close as we've ever been to be rid of him, I can almost taste freedom. Securing the double of the real and virtual trophies will see him survive, a complete balls up, I believe, will see him go.

So basically the two things I want the most are in complete conflict with each other and my head is F'n melted from it :banghead:

I was so relaxed before the penalty shoot out at Wembley - obviously I was happy with the win but at the back of my head I was thinking 5 MINUTES LEFT OF WENGER if we lost!!! :banghead:

To all the Wenger haters on there (and there seems to be many of them), you need to accept, for good or worse, that he's not going anywhere this summer.
We're going to end up 4th place and am v confident we're going to win the FA Cup.

For all of his faults, am pretty happy he's staying. This in with the expectation of him to follow up with the signing of Ozil with 2-3 world class, established players.
Have no intention of going over old ground as to whether or not he had money to spend in the last few years.
But without doubt now, he has got significant funds at his disposal.

I hate all the abuse he's received by such a vocal minority.
Still believe the majority are behind him.

Grab my tin hat and braced for the abuse to reign in now.......

No need for abuse, you're entitled to your opinion, it's just wrong.

Wenger out.

Okay, what would it take you lot to change your opinion on Wenger........if anything can??

Supposing we sign a world class defensive midfielder, striker, back up keeper and full back.
All established players for vast sums.
Then add those to the likes to BFG, Koisency, Ramsey, Walcott, Gibbs, Carzola, Ozil, Wiltshire, Szczesny, the Ox and Sagna (if he stays).
