At the risk of being a history loving cùnt here I must point out that the Stahlhelm was a general infantry helmet and is not the helmet the Fallschirmjägers (German paras) wore. They wore a variant of the old interwar M1935 helmet which had no projecting visor or deep flared rim at the back. It kinda resembled a cross between a cycling helmet and a modern Navy SEAL assault helmet.
