Hi all, hoping you can help. Wasn't quite sure where to put this.
Is it easy to walk from Prince Regent DLR Station to the Premier Inn hotel thats close to the ExCel centre in London? Have had a look on AA Routeplanner and various assorted maps and satellite shots on the WWW and there seem to be a lot of big roads to cross.
Premier Inns website suggests its a five minute walk but they don't have directions or a map.
Could anyone help? I'm starting to feel really uneasy about my daughter and her boyfriend negotiating all this and arriving safely!
TIA

I have stayed at that Premier Inn loads of times for work when I had to stay over in Docklands.
It is a three minute walk tops!

Thanks **** and person under **** whose name I've forgotten!
It looks like theres a zebra crossing from right outside Price Regent station but its a bit hazy on my monitor - if thats the case then fine. Trouble is if you go to google maps and ask for walking directions it sends you all round the houses, across roads, via roundabouts - scary. It has to be short and to the point for my daughter - even her boyfriend calls her "my little blonde"! She's intelligent, but a bit short on common sometimes!

There are two exits out of the station.
As you come up the stairs from the platform take the stairs out on the left.
Carry on up the road in the same direction and.............sod it if you cannot see it by then you dont deserve a bed for the night!
Literally 3 mins walk!

Mmm slightly worrying, not one of the nicest parts of London (expecting to get flamed now by people who live there!). Unless I can recruit several tough looking forum members to escort them across the car park to the hotel!
The event they're going to is the last week in May, nights should be lighter then by the time they arrive.
Starting to worry a bit now. She's been across London on the underground before with friends. I think its going to be an uneasy weekend for me.

Honestly, you are in no danger and you are walking up a well lit main road.
